Because he still gets playing time ahead of Henry? Because he's still the 2nd most talented player on that team in terms of pure talent behind Messi, even if he's not a good fit? I already said Pedro and Krkic are ahead of him as scoring options, but neither is more talented in terms of pure talent. There's a reason he commanded such a huge transfer fee.

You need to watch more soccer before you spew that stuff haha are you forgetting iniesta, xavi, hell even dani alves has more skill than Ibra.

Ibrahimovic couldnt touch Iniesta in terms of talent. Xavi Ill give you, because he doesnt do it with flash, but he is tons better than Ibra as well. Shit, Dani Alves might have more skill than Ibra if you consider his defensive abilities.

Bojan, right now, is behind Ibra talent wise, but he wont be for long. Bojan is only 19 and scored, incredibly, over 900 goals for his youth squad before being brought up to the senior squad at age 17. He has broken a ton of Spanish records and barely missed out on the 30 man squad for the WC. The kid has tremendous talent and his finishing ability is unquestioned.

Ibrahimovic hasn't fit in as much as his money would say, but that doesn't mean he still isn't ahead of Henry in playing time simply because he's more talented at this point in Henry's career. I agree Pedro and Krkic are ahead of Ibrahimovic as options, but I think all 3 are still ahead of Henry.
You only saw one game and are trying to judge how well he did???

Also, I wasn't saying Beckham is better than Ibra or anyone..simply that when you put Messi and Ibrahimovic in the same sentence together, your soccer knowledge (or lack thereof) is going to come into question.

You really think Iniesta is light years ahead of Ibrahimovic? I disagree, Iniesta is a tremendous player in his own right, but I think Ibrahimovic found himself in a tough position for Barca. The talent is still all there he just needs to be on a team where he's the go to option.

I watched one game, but I read recaps and articles from others, and from what I gleaned, he wasn't as effective as he used to be, which is the point I was trying to make. Obviously he's going to make spectacular plays (like the one posted), but one great play amid a game full of mediocre play doesn't exactly scream superstar.

Watch a Barca game, and focus all your attention on what iniesta does, with and without the ball. Look at this vision and how he sets other players up to succeed and you will see why iniesta is far and beyond more skilled than Ibra.

I really do yes. I have seen every single Barcelona game for the last 4 years. I like to think I can see what a player will become. I said when Messi was 17 that he would be the best player in the world in 2 years (it took 3). Ive seen a TON of Ibra when he was at Juve and Inter. He has a great ability to score, but thats about all I see. Iniesta is probably the 3rd best player in the world at the moment (sans the injury). His foot skill, movement, control, and touch are much better than Ibra. I really think he is lightyears ahead of Ibra.

I'm sorry I'm more of a casual fan than you and don't have the time to watch games on top of a full time job and a full time class schedule.

I wish I could watch a ton more games, but as it stands, the only team I truly care to watch is Liverpool.
  • Laley23
What did you ever read that said Ibra was better than Iniesta and Xavi though? Those two are both (arguably) top 5 in the world. Iniesta to some is the best player. I gave in and said pure talent Xavi isnt better but watch Iniesta just one game and you will agree he is much better. Better at dribbling, passing, control, vision, movement, literally everything but finishing. Although, if he ever looked to shoot and not be unselfish for others we might have a better understanding of his abilities lol.

It's okay, just refrain from speaking about something you don't know anything about and your insolences will be forgiven.

Oh and that sucks about the whole Liverpool thing.

Great news for the MLS. Though only a casual soccer fan, I enjoy going to as many Crew games as possible. If you're gonna watch MLS soccer, you might as well watch the best team.

I can't wait for Ronaldinho to come over to the MLS :)
  • sportchampps
I read about this months ago and today it became official. I also read back then the NYRB would sign Raul as well after the world cup. The biggest soccer move of the day was Torres probably getting bought by Chelsea

Villa and Cesc are very strong possibilities to Barcelona as well as Ibra to Juve. This is gonna be a pretty big transfer period with Ribery also likely to be leaving. I cant wait. Villa to Barca is almost a sure thing, imo.

And yes, Raul is likely to be gone from Madrid, and likely to MLS (NYRB), but that hasnt been made as official as Henry.

That dudes ego wouldnt allow him to play here. He will be in Brazil with Robinho and Adriano when his Europe days are over.
