Cardinals @ Reds Game 3

It would be nice for the Reds to get a little national respect. I guarantee when the ESPN (just using them as an example, because theirs comes out on Mondays) power rankings come out today, the Reds won't be in the top ten and still be behind the Cards.

They still should be behind the cards. Remember they have already lost 2 series against them. If they keep winning they will get the respect they deserve.

I agree with that, but the Cards are 3-7 in their last ten. The Reds are 8-2.

ESPN is only interested in ratings and nothing more. Sports Illustrated still has their integrity intact.

    And what do ya know......

The Reds are the top story on their MLB page!

They are #10, Cards are #9.

I'd probably say that's about accurate, and is a very respectable position for Cinci.

Cowlishaws pick to go to the world series apparantly. Smith and cowlishaw like the reds to stay hot but the old man woody page doesn't like them.

Where are all the fire Dinglebaker threads these days?

I give Dusty credit so far for MOST of his decisions this year..there have been some question marks, but despite his average (at best) lineups--though, they are improving as of late--he is getting it done this year. Still early though, soon as the Reds start dropping in the standings, i'll jump back on the fire Dusty bandwagon....even though I still wouldn't be mad if they fired him right now.

He has cost them just as much as he helped them. Good pitching is the great equalizer and can hide a lot of flaws.
