*Anticipates Skip Bayless roasting LeBron on First Take this morning*
-
jpake1I've always loved Skip. I love what he says. I sometimes don't agree, but him and I have seen eye to eye on many things with LBJ. I've tried to change my opinions while Skip has stuck to it.. it's game like last night that make Skip look really smart when most thought he was really stupid.

jordo212000Lebron didn't play terrible tonight. He definitely didn't get any help at all. (Mo scored, but gave up a ton on defense).
Shaq, Z, Jamison, and Parker all collectively put the dagger in the heart tonight -

For 3 yrs. on 1st and 10 I've heard how wrong, unfair I am about LeBron. Sorry, he IS the ringless King, fake MJ, more Pippen than Jordan.
Incredibly, LeBron James almost had a quadruple double: 9 turnovers in do-or-die game! 2 of 17 from 3 in the 4 losses. Pressure crushed him.
I'm going to bed. I need my rest for tomorrow morning. I have way too much to say about LBJ's legacy, future and my Celts vs. the Magic -
SQ_CraziesHe copied and pasted that from points he's had written up for years.
It's hilarious how many of you buy into the media BS. This is going to define LeBron's legacy? The dude is 25. The media is trying to get ratings, and you're stupid enough to buy into it. For a Kobe fan, your memory doesn't go back too far. Was Kobe's legacy tarnished by refusing to shoot in the playoffs? Not making it out of the first round when he had to do it himself? No. You're having a knee jerk reaction to the media's knee jerk reaction and their desire to be controversial because that's what sells. -
2quik4ulol kobe already had 3 titles, he made it to the playoff with the worst starting 5 in history.

Kobe and Magic both had 3 titles by the time they were 25. I get tired of hearing that excuse.2quik4u wrote: lol kobe already had 3 titles, he made it to the playoff with the worst starting 5 in history. -
SQ_CraziesLeBron made the Finals with as shitty a team as Kobe has ever played with.

How the hell did these rosters make the playoffs in the western conference? Luke Walton was the THIRD best player. Smush Parker couldn't even stay on the Clippers or Heats rosters and he started for the Lakers lol. From the 05-06 season 17 players that were on the roster that year. ONLY 8 are still NBA with only 5 of them getting any playing time nowadays. -
SQ_CraziesYeah, didn't make it out of the first round and Kobe quit on them.

Lebron's 9 turnovers certainly didn't help though. I don't argue who is better, Kobe or LEbron, because I don't really care. But I will say that I have never seen a mediocore effort out of Jordan, Magic or Bird like I've seen out of Lebron the last few games. Terrible shots, lazy passes, trotting around court.
Talent wise, Lebron may be the most gifted player to play the game. He may also be one of the most athletic, but I don't think he'll ever achieve greatness like Jordan, Magic or Bird until he gets that competitiveness and tenacity they had. -

That is what makes it so frustrating at times. He doesn't have the leadership or the will to win of the other players that you mentioned.dwccrew wrote:jordo212000 wrote: Lebron didn't play terrible tonight. He definitely didn't get any help at all. (Mo scored, but gave up a ton on defense).

PG:
Gibson - 5 pts, 1 ast, .4 steals
Parker - 12 pts, 4 ast, 2 steals
SG:
Pavlovic - 9 pts, 2 ast, 2 reb
Kobe
SF:
Lebron
Cook (since Walton only started 6 games all year) - 8 pts, 4 reb
PF:
Gooden - 11 pts, 8 reb, 1 ast
Odom - 15 pts, 9 reb, 6 ast
C:
Ilgauskas - 12 pts, 8 reb, 1 block
Chris Mihm (since he started more often than Kwame) - 14 pts, 9 reb, 2 blocks
Lebron took a starting five to the finals that was worse than the Lakers starting five.
As for depth, 9 of the players are still in the NBA (if you count Dwayne Jones, who has played 8 games the past two years) and only four get significant playing time. -

GOONx19^ Haha, fair enough. I picked my stats for a reason and you realized what was going on. In all fairness though, Boobie played more minutes than Larry in all but two games. Regardless, it's safe to say both teams sucked and Lebron and Kobe are the best in the world.
