  Messi/Iniesta is VERY tough to beat. Hell anyone with Messi (Iniesta/Bojan/Pedro/Ibra/etc could be tops), but Messi/Iniesta HAS to be considered the best right now.
  
  Id also give credit to some teams like Real with Ronaldo/Higuain, Atletico with Forlan/Aguero, Valencia with Villa/Silva, those are the Spanish teams I think of off the top of my slightly intoxicated head.

  If you watch and understand the game of soccer, you know regardless of champions league success, that Chelsea is by far the best in the world, and if not that then at least top 2 in the world. Which is what I was trying to say, Man U this year did suck balls, further proving the fact they are nothing without ronaldo and that they are overrated.

  depends on your definition of striker. IF you consider Messi a striker than Iniesta is as well. Barca play with 3 forwards, and both of them are included in the preferred 11. Sure, you can consider Iniesta a midfielder, but he plays the SAME wing position as Messi and NO ONE considers Messi a mid.
  
  I will give you that neither is a TRUE #9, but Messi is deadly up top as well as the wing. But if you are just counting forwards, than Messi and Iniesta both qualify as both play the forward/wing position for Barca.

  I understand what you are saying, but I don't see how you can consider Messi/Iniesta as the same positions as Drogba/Anelka...They are true strikers and as far as that goes, there is no combo out there that rivals them.

  Chelsea is by far the best in the world imo. I was saying that if rock didn't agree with that, that he should at least admit they are top 2. My stance is they are the best in the world, and their possession futbol and overall play is speaking for itself.

  This is true. As far as strikers go (eliminating the winger position) Messi and Iniesta dont qualify. I will say I think Milito and Eto'o make a good case from Inter. Del Piero and Amauri make a good case on name recognition as do Benzema and Higuain, but neither combo made a great impact this year.
  
  I still think Forlan and Aguero is a top combo. Probably in the argument with Etoo/Milito and Anelka/Drogba for best names as well as in form. Aguero had a rough year so to speak, but Forlan was lights out AGAIN!

Barca is by far the best possession team, and Inter (I will brag I said they were the ONLY team who could knock out Barca from the CL this year) are an incredible side with possession, counter, and defending all in one.

  People knock Madid for losing, but they are going to be the team to beat next year if Barca dont sign Villa/Ribery/Fabregas. Munich their due justice because I dont think Germany is all that tough. ManU could also be up there as well, but for obvious reasons not ahead of Chelsea.
