samuel adamsPacquio vs Mayweather has to happen if boxing wants to get back to what it used to be....I think we saw what will happen to Mayweather if someones pushes the pace and hits him hard and often...the only thing was Mosley died as the fight went on, Pacquio won't die and will push Mayweather for the whole fight.

http://pacman.craveonline.com/While speaking with Manny Pacquiao in his home in General Santos City Philippines. Manny Pacquiao made this Official Statement for his website http://mpboxing.com .
I AM WILLING TO TAKE BLOOD TESTS, JUST NOT THE DAY OF THE FIGHT.
I am willing to help the sport for the future of the sport. I do not want to see anyone cheat or cheat this sport. For that reason I am willing to consider taking blood as close as 14 days prior to the fight, as long as, my opponent does the same, and it is not a lot of blood, just enough to test.
I do not want anyone having an unfair advantage where someone may get hurt. I am willing to do my part to help this sport out.
When asked what did he think about the fight? Manny Pacquiao replied, "I have not seen the fight yet."
Manny Pacquiao is campaigning for Congressman during this time in his life, but we will keep you updated on further progress for his next upcoming fight.
Manny Pacquiao also stated, he is willing to take blood immediately after the fight in his locker room "No problem." Manny just does not want to take blood right before the fight, as he feels that may hurt the fighter, if not physically, maybe mentally. -

daveso he's afraid a little prick of a needle will mentally hurt him? this makes him look so bad.

77LegendHorrible fight. Pumped up to be deflated. Mosley didn't even try after the 3rd round. He had Mayweather in the 2nd, but did not capitalize on it. He got paid, and now needs to retire. Mayweather talks the talk and walks the walk.

Hell, agree to 24 hours before the fight... shit 36 hours.dave wrote: so he's afraid a little prick of a needle will mentally hurt him? this makes him look so bad. -
iclfan2What could he do for 14 days ahead of the fight that wouldn't show up in an after fight blood test? Would blood doping not show up then? And I still don't get how the majority on here calls out Pac but nothing about PBF demanding this when no other fights do it. I think Pac not doing it is equally as sketchy as PBF demanding it.

I'd say they are both bitching out, but to say "14 days before" is REALLY bitching out.iclfan2 wrote: What could he do for 14 days ahead of the fight that wouldn't show up in an after fight blood test? iclfan2Mosley is an admitted steroid user, of course he would to show he is clean now. IF the commison says blood testing is not needed, then Pac shouldn't give in to PBF's bullshit. What could he use in his body that would help him in the fight that wouldn't show up in a blood test the night after the fight.

I Wear PantsBut if they are both doing it what's the harm?
Just freaking test. -

Because they are both bitching out, but coming back with "14 days or AFTER the fight" is really showing his yellownessiclfan2 wrote: Mosley is an admitted steroid user, of course he would to show he is clean now. Hulk SmashWho is the douche-bag who put some kind of pornography on page 3 of this thread?
The filter here is blocking that page.
Where are you reading 14 days AFTER the fight?
I haven't seen that anywhere.
None of this bickering over blood tests means anything until after Pac's political campaign is over anyway.
The deal will be signed after that.
It looks like Mayweather is going to wait for Pacquiao which is good news.
He could just find someone else, there is no shortage of solid fighters at 140 and 147.
There is no good reason for a fighter with his drawing power to let the personal business of a possible opponent hold up his own schedule. -

He is saying the blood test should be 14 days BEFORE the fight, OR a day after the fight.Hulk Smash wrote:Where are you reading 14 days AFTER the fight?

Hulk Smashoops, my bad.
This thread and threads like it on other sites are proof that the bickering over drug-testing is just making this fight bigger and bigger.
For the next three or four months whenever the networks don't have other fights going on articles more articles about the Pac/Mayweather negotiations will pop up. -

And for the deflated sport of boxing right now, I dont think you'll see anyone complain about this mayweather/manny debacle. -
Hulk SmashExcept for those that see through the gimmicks.
If the fight had happened on the original date Golden Boy and Top Rank had ONE big fight.
It didn't happen and now they have made money from TWO big fights and have all summer to hype a THIRD big fight into a pay-per-view record breaking super fight. -
Big Red MonsterManny has softened his stance on the drug test issue
