hoops23Mavericks will never win anything with Dirk as the main guy, and possibly won't win anything with Cuban as the owner.

I don't know how much I buy into that, they've just had some serious bad luck. They've been victim of some of the biggest statistical oddities in NBA history. They just happened to run into the strongest 7th seed in the history of the NBA--let's not forget, the only reason SA was that low was because the West is competitive and they had to deal with a lot of injures all year. I'm not at all surprised, the Spurs are a contender for a title right now--although Manu's nose injury could kill their chances.LTrain23 wrote: Mavericks will never win anything with Dirk as the main guy, and possibly won't win anything with Cuban as the owner. -
hoops23It doesn't really matter how much you buy into it..
The fact is, Dallas isn't mentally strong enough for the playoffs, especially with Dirk as their leader.
You can make all the claims you want, but Dallas SHOULD HAVE beaten SA. Tim Duncan and Tony Parker didn't make a big impact and Manu struggled in a couple of the games (after the nose injury)..
Dallas was NEVER able to take advantage of anything.
Not too mention Rick Carlisle being their coach right now. -
SQ_CraziesI mean, there is a winner and a loser in every game. I'm not sure they aren't mentally strong enough for the playoffs--it's just that someone always has to lose. They always just run into a team that can beat them, doesn't mean they aren't mentally strong enough necessarily.

mallymal614The Hawks are getting CRUSHED! Down 44 with 9:00 still to go. Yikes!
-
friendfromlowryAre the Magic really good, or are they just having the easy path so far?
-
Trueblue23They're good, but Charlotte was a pushover and ATL can't win on the road.
Lakers finally starting to look better, Celtics playing good basketball right now too. -
wildcats20Both.
The Magic are good. The Bobcats, not so much. But this is going to be a series with the Hawks. They clearly didn't show up tonight, but I would be willing to bet game 2 is a totally different game. Not saying the Hawks will win or anything, but it won't be a total shit show like tonight. -
friendfromlowryThe schedule for the games is ridiculous. Four days inbetween games two and three? David Stern: Make this shit shorter.
That's why I won't watch anymore if the Cavs are out, because it takes nine fucking days to complete first four games. -
Trueblue23The long rest gives the Lakers an advantage, so I'm all for it

SQ_CraziesWhy is the schedule ridiculous?
If you had it put in front of you on a calendar, you wouldn't think it's that ridiculous. They aren't going to play 4-5 games a night, they want to get them all on TV. Then you have the problem of series ending earlier than others and giving a team a crazy potential rest advantage. It's fine the way it is. All anyone ever wants to do is bitch about the way postseasons are put together. STFU and enjoy them. -
Trueblue23Lakers and Magic looking good right now.
