Agree cview, but we'll see how their ability to perform with their back against the wall soon--it doesn't seem like it's there right now with a shitty bench and a less than stellar Kobe. I still think that if Bynum and Gasol got at least 40 shots a game, they'd dominate this series.
I agree. Of course none of those games were this year or with this team or coming off a title, which history has proven is a tough thing to do. And something is definitely wrong with Kobe. Clearly his time as the best player in the world has passed but he was carrying that torch for awhile and I fully expect Lebron to carry is for the next 5-6 years then pass it on to someone else as well. I'm very interested to see if Kobe is going to come back better next year if he can get healthy over the summer. Also, in the future I am interested to see if Lebron's career and prime will mold that of Kobe's. I don't mean that in terms of #'s or championships or anything like that, but in terms of whether we'll see Lebron break down a bit once he gets to 32 or so and gets into his 12th or 13th or 14th season. Both are elite players that played a lot of minutes and games early on. Kobe has been playing deep into the playoffs as well as in the various international competitions. At this point you have to believe any team with Lebron James is going to be playing well into late May and early June on an annual basis and LBJ does the same international stuff Kobe did. Add all that shit up and you're getting about 15 actual seasons worth of basketball in 12-13 years. In most years each guy is carrying the load for 95-100 games. Maybe more. Those miles will add up very quickly.
