Tribe Team Batting Average At .222

FootwedgeIt's a miracle that they have won 7 out of 16 games so far.

hoops23The pitching has been pretty good, aside from Jake Westbrook.
The hitting is a little shaky, aside from a terrific stretch by Choo.
We've had some young guys in the line up who probably aren't ML ready quite yet, but overall, I'm not too displeased. This team is currently 7-9, I'll take that.
Just have to keep improving. I do like their approach at the plate a bit better, but the DP ball has been killer this season so far.. I believe this game against Oakland, in which we could have busted out to a big lead, had 4 straight DP balls by us.. Just can't continue to kill momentum like that and expect to win.
I'm going to be patient with this current regime, because we all knew the cabinets were pretty bare in terms of overall ML ready talent. You have some very good players, 1 VERY good one (Choo) and some good pitching.. The Tribe are only a few offensive pieces and 1 or 2 more quality arms away from being a legit threat for the AL Central. -
newarkcatholicfanAs two of us said this organization has gone back to the 70's and is so far away from competing that it is sad.

FootwedgeGrady Sizemore has been the biggest disappointment. There's a long season to go, but he could be playing himself out of a good contract when his present one ends. Last year, he had a lot of injury excuses to use. He knows that in time he can leave this cheap ass outfit and make good bucks with the Yankees of the world. He either gets it together, or he'll end up playing for us forever. Talk about motivation LOL.
And then you have Choo. He most likely will be done after this season to fulfill his military obligation for the next 2 seasons. I hardly think he'll defect from this.
Vilbuena has way too many holes in his swing...although he does hit one out from time to time. Laporta has been Gawd awlful and the catchers are lousy...even at the triple A level. Moon Pie has gone psycho not only at the plate, but in the field as well. Branyon is Branyon.
The ptiching has been much better than last season to date. It could be that the've struck gold in Talbot. Fausto is another silver lining.
Hafner is in the same boat as Sizemore. Big bucks await him....but he hss to produce. How that guy has gone so in the tank is hard to fathom. -
wes_mantoothGuys like Sizemore and Hafner better start hitting, because no way this pitching holds up for an entire season.

Mr. 300Who in this lineup scares anyome from an opposing staff on the mound?? I'll go watch Akron and Columbus before I pay $$$ to watch this AAA team play in the bigs.

HitsRusEverything is magnified this early in the season. I would not expect the team to continue such futilty the whole season.
Gawd, I hope not.
Probably the thing that concerns me the most in Grady Sizemore's poor numbers. IMO he needs to use his legs more...get the ball on the ground and run. I don't like him in the #2 hole in the lineup either. -
