Tim Tebow drafted 25th overall by Denver Broncos
-
jordo212000Cowherd was absolutely killing the Broncos for this pick this morning. The main issue he had was that the Broncos gave up a few picks to get him, and Tebow is very unproven. (McNabb only cost Washington one pick, many examples) He called Tebow "Timmy Ra-Ra" and said he would have more circumcisions than TDs this year

I could understand if your reason for not liking the pick was because of his on the field play, but Tebow is far from a "douche".CinciX12 wrote:
I have no reason to hate him at all. I loved every second of him beating OSU.
That doesn't make up for him being a giant douche of a human being.
Now lets all line up for the circle jerk and let us pray.
I laughed at DEN for taking in the first, but due to their being 2+ other QBs still on the board that were better.
Tebow, like it or not, is a great human being, period. -
Swamp FoxI did notice that Tim Tebow went in round 25 to Denver while Colt McCoy went to Cleveland in round 85. I also read the other day that the Broncos are planning on using Tebow at quarterback. I'm telling you that Tebow will lead another version of "The Drive" against the Brownies once again. What will be the excuse for that? Brown's fans will absoltely be falling over themselves making things up about why the Browns lost. I'm not anti -Browns at all, but sometimes their most die-hard fans really annoy me with their single-minded hatred of Tebow.
-
sleeper^ I don't think any Browns fans are scared of Tebow at QB. Believe it or not, the guy is going to be a bust at QB, and you can take that to the bank.
-
jordo212000I don't hate Tebow. I just don't think he will be a great NFL QB. At the very least, the unbiased fan/follower of the draft will tell you that the Broncos reached. They reached in a big way. McDaniels just went all in (I'm not a Browns fan either)

How many of these guys will START by the end of this season ? I'm guessing only Bradford, because the Rams are not paying that much money to sit on their bench. I think Sanchez was the only rookie starter last year.edit: Stafford in Detroit ? They all need time to adapt to the NFL. I would not be surprised to see only half of these guys still in the NFL at the end of camp. That's just how the numbers crunch. -
jordo212000The Broncos had a ton of needs and had to keep up with the Joneses (the Chargers who are probably winning the division... again) and instead of adding playmakers who can get on the field this year, they take a project that will need at least a year (probably more). What's worse is they gave up several picks to move up and take him, when they obviously could have had him much later. Heck they had already traded for a QB in Brady Quinn. The whole thing just doesn't make sense.

Laley23Freeman also started last year for the Bucs. Im not sure about the late round picks, but the early (first) rounders were Stafford, Sanchez and Freeman all of whom started.

Yeah I'm not sure where speedofsand has been/is getting his info. Gone are the days when a QB was picked, put on the bench, and groomed. If you are a early pick, you're expected to play.Laley23 wrote: Freeman also started last year for the Bucs. it was off the top. so I forgot about Freeman big deal. Tebow could go 2-14 or 3-13 this year if he plays. Maybe even 9-7 like Sanchez who was praised so much for winning. I hope Tebow does play early.jordo212000 wrote:

Some experts see that the most successful college teams have been running the spread offense. That trend has been working its way into the NFL. I believe a big factor in play style in the NFL has been the rules and rules changes. You gotta be able to pass these days. There are only a handful of successful cold weather running style teams.
