Dodgers v. Reds Game Uno

    How bout that??

Janish hits a bloop to left, scores a run and then gets in a run down and Hernandez is able to score and Janish goes to 2nd.

Now hopefully Coco can hold it down to get the save

Are they going to call it an error, or two stolen bases, on the play when the Reds scored their 10th and 11th runs?
  • wildcats20
I would really like to see Stubbs be able to plate Janish here. A 3 run lead would be really nice.

    Btw Stubbs is flat struggling
  • wildcats20
    Yeah Stubbs sucks right now.

I think he needs sat for a few or sent down to find his stroke again.
  • wildcats20
And CoCo shuts em down, 1-2-3.

Only 3 Ks for the Reds tonight and Stubbs has two of them. And his first was with a runner on 3rd, less than two out, and the infield back!

    Needed that win.

Stubbs is struggling, but I still say you leave em in there and let em learn how to get out of a funk. Sending him down will damage his confidence as a young hitter in the league, and benching him won't help him solve hitting problems. He should focus on getting on base (aka, walking) and using his speed. The hits will come.

    Both teams blow good leads!

Lincoln doesn't get out the one batter he faced to qualify for the win without a great catch by Bruce! Starters with no wins for the season streak continues intact, with six wins for the bullpen. Of course several wins were "scavenged" by the bullpen by blowing saves, and the offense coming back.

Listened on the radio but missed the final. Good to see the Reds stop the hurting and pull out one. These early games make a huge difference in the end.

.... Just a side note.... Former Reds great Darnell McDonald is a trending topic on twitter for his game winning RBI for the Red Sox lol
  • wildcats20
I caught the tail end of something on the Fan on the way home from work about a McDonald being called up for Boston. I thought to myself, D Mac?!?!? lol

    Dusty, IS THAT YOU?!

Man am I sick of this zero accountability bullshit I hear from the announcers, the coaching staff, and half the media.

Whatever happened to playing like your career is on the line, cuz if you don't, theres a whole bunch of guys waiting to take your spot in the Bigs?

Lets bring up some guys from the minors and see if they can do better than striking out 17 times in 47 plate appearances. Hell let Dickerson start until further notice. Stubbs is flat out terrible right now.

Anyways....this is what I expected from the Reds bats in 2010, exactly what I saw tonight. Maybe not 11 runs every game, but some production from the guys who are supposed to produce (Votto, Bruce, Phillips, Rolen) and everything beyond them is icing on the cake. Minimal on the strikeouts tonight, which was good, and only 2 runners left on base the entire night. TIMELY HITTING is what I want from this club. You can keep your bases empty home runs from the previous regime, I'll take a base hit into the gap with a guy on 2nd (who walked, and stole 2nd), and I'll take pop flies into right field with a runner on 3rd and less than 2 outs. And JUST GETTING THE BALL IN PLAY BECAUSE WHEN YOU DO GOOD THINGS HAPPEN! (see: Homer's bunt, Janish's single)

Go Redlegs! I'll be out at GABP tomorrow hoping to GOD that Harang turns things around.

Stubbs needs sent down. I like him, and he's going to be good. But he has looked completely awful in the past week and a half.
