I love that the Bengals get a Thanksgiving game... Too bad it's on the NFL Network

Even though it is on the NFL Network, don't they show it on free TV in the away team's city?

Both teams get it shown in their primary market on one network station.

One station in NY and one station in Cincy will be able to show it... which sucks for people in Columbus or Dayton who don't get Cincinnati locals.

^^^ Very true. If the powers that be were smart, they would extend the coverage as far north as Columbus, parts of SE Indiana and the whole state of Kentucky. They would capture about 90% of the Bengal fan base right there.
  • ts1227
The NFL isn't going to change their rules to extend the area because they want people to get their network

people almost missed a browns vs. Steelers game on NFL network near Youngstown because the Cleveland station they used (channel 3) was not on the cable. Fortunately the Pittsburgh local that got used (channel 2) was. We have a dish at our house so we had NFL network regardless

I will be making my first trip to Paul Brown Stadium in Week 2 to see Baltimore.

Oh Look! Michigan may never beat Ohio State again! ;)

Is the cheapest ticket for a game really $65?
  • voewoody
    ^
Yes... kinda sucks but there are scalpers everywhere on Sundays... I have season tickets so I dont have to worry about it but we bring people every week and they just buy from scalpers normally well below face when it gets close to gametime.
  • Big Red Monster
    Wow that sucks.

Good one! Difference is, UM has only been bad for 2 years. ;)

$65 is pretty cheap for an NFL game, but you might luck into cheaper tickets right before the game.

I was planning on going out to NY for the Jets/Bengals game but I doubt I'll be able to do it over Thanksgiving. It would probably make the most sense to go to that game due to the long weekend, though. Plus my wife is retarded for the Macy's parade so I could probably talk her into going pretty easily.
  • Big Red Monster
Over $200 for an NFL for 2 people when you factor in concessions and gas is a little nuts.

I wasnt expecting cheap, cheap tickets, but I didnt think the cheapest would be 65.

Yeah, I guess. I try not to buy concession while I am at games unless I absolutely have to. I guess I am also lucky in that my wife really has no desire to go to NFL games so I can cut my costs in half as I am only paying for myself.

Coming from a guy who is either a Lions fan or a Browns fan I find this statement comical.
  • Big Red Monster
I would be making a 2 and half hour ride one way.

That right there will be good for 20 in just gas alone.

I see where Cleveland has $32 dollar tickets that are in a Family Zone. If $65 is the cheapest ticket in Cincinnati, I may have to go there as a cheaper choice.

I would prefer to make the trip to Cincinnati, but if I can save that much money I will go to Cleveland.
