SQ_CraziesFunny how people dismiss him so easily. If the Cavs can string titles together and he's the PG--there is no doubt that if he keeps his play up he may have a shot someday. Being part of teams like these goes a long way. But there are some big if's obviously.

Ironman92This
is not going to happen.
He'd have to be the 2nd best player on about 4-5 championships to even have a prayer. -
Hb31187even if the cavs win like 3 titles hes not goin to the HOF...Is Paxon a HOFer? haha
-
FootwedgeI doubt it. Needs to be a title caddie for GOAT over a 6 six year period and string at least that many All Star games to have a chance.
-
Ironman92Paxson wasn't the 2nd best player.
-
Ironman92Byron Scott isn't a HOF....he was comparable in talent to Mo...but on a better team.
-
Al CaponeWho is Mo Williams?
-
wes_mantoothlove Mo Goatie.
-
Hb31187Neither is mo, Jamison is WAY better then Mo
-
Lovejoy1984I don't see it happening, but ya never know what will happen going forward, which is why I This'd SQ's post.
You never know how things will play out going forward, who's to say the Cavs don't win 5 or 6 titles in a row with Mo averaging 20 and 10. -

Lovejoy1984Link?
No one can say that will or won't happen. Unless you can tell the future.
It's a little early to try and pin point most players HOF credentials. Mo is only 26 or so, so he's got a few years of high level basketball to go. -

averaging 14 points and 5 ast for a career, he will not make itHighRoller74 wrote: Link?

Lovejoy1984Again just throwing out hypotheticals(sp). You just never know how things will go, going forward.

Cleveland BuckMo Williams has about the same chance to make the Hall of Fame as I do.

HereticIF Mo went 20/10 for a few more title seasons, I'd see him in the HoF. Basing things on what has happened in the past, I'd say there's very little chance of that happening.
When I think of a #2 player on a team who is HoF-worthy, I think of a guy like Pippen, who filled stat sheets on a daily basis while Jordan was putting up huge points. The problem for Mo in reaching "Pippen-status" is that the chances of him being looked at as anything other than primarily a pure shooter will be diluted because of how so much of the offense runs through LeBron.
While this is all my opinion (obviously), I'd look at Mo as being no more important (and possibly less so) than Andy. I'd call them the "co-#2" to LeBron. Mo does the shooting and Andy does the rebounding/dirty work/garbage points stuff.
I don't think comparing Mo to Paxson is completely accurate, but I also don't think calling him a clear-cut #2 is completely accurate, either. -
Cleveland Buck
Of course. I'm a lock for the HOF.2quik4u wrote:
