Browns fans - Colt McCoy

  • slingshot4ever
If he is there when we are on the clock for our 2nd round pick (39 overall I believe) do you want the Browns to take him? This is assuming we don't take a QB in the first round.

    I say yes.
  • Nate
Depends who else is on the board still.

    If no Tebow, possibly.
If Tebow and McCoy are there, it's a tossup.
I'm sure a big first round talent will still be available there also.
  • SportsAndLady
If he's still left by that point (longshot), then I believe it's a no-brainer you take him.
  • BR1986FB
    Yes
  • newarkcatholicfan
He won't be there when the Browns pick in round 2.
  • Laley23
    Yes, without question.
  • sonofsam
There is no way McCoy makes it to round 2.
  • BR1986FB
Yeah, they will likely have to trade up.

Correct, because Cleveland will draft him in the 1st round after trading up.

I heard on a sports talk program from Texas that Colt who retire before playing for Cleveland.

    ^Huh?
  • royal_k
I think he meant will retire.

But that's pretty funny shit, if you believe it.
  • wes_mantooth
Dallas should draft him...they still have that bum at qb.

Would not surprise me. Cleveland is a career killer for quarterbacks if you look at the last 20 years.

    You mean Blowmo?
  • KnightRyder
depends who you took in the first round, and depends who is on the board

He's talking shit. McCoy was on with Reghi over a week ago and gushed about the time he spent with Cleveland at his Pro Day. McCoy never said that.

    EDIT: Ummmm.....

"It'd be awesome,'' McCoy said. "The visit went really well. I spent a couple of hours with coach Mangini in Austin and met with him again [at the Browns' facilities]. I really enjoyed coach Holmgren too. What an awesome man and leader. We share a lot of the same qualities.''
At least he sees already who is really coaching this team right now.

You shouldn't have posted that link BR....Now NCF won't know what to believe. hahahaha

Couldn't disagree more. Holmgren has made it perfectly clear what everyones role is in the organization. Unless you're calling him a liar, I think you're mistaken.

Isn't that all he does?

You saw how Brady Quinn worked out...what makes you think McCoy would be any different?

And exactly WHAT is that question supposed to mean? Seriously?

If you're implying that EVERY QB that comes here is going to crash & burn, think again. This franchise won't stink forever, believe me. Even the Steelers dug themselves out of shititude when they hired Chuck Noll.

Hes on the small side with a not so strong arm and honestly I think Brady was the better prospect. I just don't think he would be a good pick up for Cleveland. If I were a Cleveland fan I wouldn't want any of top QBs except for Bradford.

And why fault me for thinking every QB will crash and burn? Everyone has so far for the "new Browns."

My only concern with McCoy is his arm strength when the winter weather hits and the wind starts whipping. I think that could be a problem.

Quinn was horrible. I don't see him ever being a starter in this league unless a magic fairy sprinkles dust on his arm and he suddenly finds accuracy.
