NM about CoCo...didn't realize he had been up and throwing.

Votto's lead taking hit clears SS by about the same amount as Rolen's did over the 2nd baseman last night!
  • wildcats20
    I'm letting Micah hit here.
  • CinciX12
    Bases loaded! I want 14!!
  • CinciX12
Why did the catcher just fake to 2nd like he was going to hold him??
  • CinciX12
Micah wouldn't have popped that up!

    Lets get this Reds!!
  • wildcats20
    CoCo looking good, damn.
  • osu45804

  • CinciX12
5 of our last 6! I like it!
  • wildcats20
I could really get used to seeing this team win. I hope the hot streak continues with Homer tomorrow night.

Reds winning the close games! 5-3 record even though they have scored less runs(4.75/game) than their opponents(5.0/game).

When you pay a closer 40M+ dollars over 4 years, it's tough to justify. However, it's really turning out to be smart money spent by the Reds on Francisco Cordero. 77 saves in 146 games and an ERA around 2.60 over that time. Not really any closers in MLB better over the same time period.

I agree AZ. I was skeptical of the signing, but we needed someone. I have absolutely no complaints about CoCo.

    Cordero: 77 saves, 10 blown saves, 8W, 10L, 146 games, 142 innings, 2.73 ERA

    Rivera same period: 85 saves, 3 blown saves, 9W, 8L, 133 games, 140 innings, 1.54 ERA

Comparing ANYONE to Mo is not possible.

As much as I love this if I were Baker I would not run Cordero out there tonight no matter if it is a save situation. He has thrown 6 out of the last 7 games and the one he didn't pitch in he did get up to warm up in the bullpen. If this team is going to make a run they will definitely need Coco down the stretch..

I really feel this....whenever BA, HB, JC are on the mound the reds have a very good chance of winning. Leake....too early to tell but I really like him. Harangatang is the only time I woudlnt bet on the reds to win. Then we have VOlquez, Chapmen who blew away AAA hitters. 9 ks....5 hits but 4 were inf variety.

I am very, very excited for this reds team. I predicted and made some bets the reds will win 86 or more...
