Will LBJ Stay? Pundits Weigh In.

The general consensus is that he will remain a Cav. Some people don't know that the Cavs can offer more money to him than any other team. Not that a couple million more would mean a whole lot in the grand scheme of things.

What I found interesting...most feel the odds of him staying go up if the Cavs win it all. I disagree. If the Cavs win a title, LBJ may look at it as "mission accomplished" and possibly move on.

On NBA.com, there was an interview with the king tonight, whereby at the 4 minute 45 second mark, LBJ says that his primary goal is to win a championship in Cleveland, and will not leave until it's done. Freudian slip? I don't think so.

This is nuts. And I can't even begin to imagine how much crazier this is going to get unless he comes out and says he's signing with Cleveland the night he plays his last game of the season.

    Farse.

If the Cavs win a title it will 100% guarantee LeBron comes back.

    A few reasons.

    1) Why wouldn't he come back to defend his title? To think he'd walk away after winning one is kind of foolish.

    2) If LeBron is able to win not only 1, but multiple championships in Cleveland, he will no doubt go down as the greatest NBA player in history. MJ stuck to 1 franchise in his prime and created a dynasty. If LeBron is able to do that (he should, we have all the pieces) he will ride this as long as he can.

    3) His owner and GM would have already got him 1 title.. He knows what they can do for him.. The other owners? Well, that'd be a question mark seeing as these teams are chasing LeBron for a reason....

I agree with you LTrain, but in fairness to other owners, they're chasing him because he's the best player in the league. And when he has Dan Gilbert doing whatever it takes, it's kind of hard for most franchises to put a team together to beat a team doing the same thing with the best player. Almost becomes a waste of money...
