    these guys will never learn.

I saw the story on Yahoo.

Apparently dumbassedness runs rampant in the NFL this off season.
  • BR1986FB
I was all for them moving him via trade before this happened because he creates too many holes in the D-Line with his "freelancing." Now I'm even more interested in seeing him traded.

I am wondering if you have to be considered retarded to be drafted into the NFL?
  • Lovejoy1984
    Sometimes, I have to wonder^^

For some reason, I'm really amused right now.

I wish our trade-bait would behave better. We need the most value we can get, not the least. I guess we better get Al Davis on the phone right away.

And THIS is why our guys are total fuckups. When other teams' guys do something stupid is it a "he said, she said situation" where somebody has the accused "back" and can bail them out/lie for them? Oh hell no...our guys either hit the pedestrian and kill them with a thousand witnesses or get caught WITH the loaded gun at the airport. Not justifying the crimes...just saying our guys are dumbasses. This is a FEDERAL offense, correct?

YOu make a good point BR.

I havnt read article so who knows..it oculd be a joke.

but still....in the steelers instance.......the BR and the chick at the casino...has all the signs of a chick crying foul because he wouldnt continue to date her.
    His latest......prolly got too handsy......

but still a he said...she said ordeal that prolly isnt as bad as many people are stating.

Holmes....all accts are the chick, who has a history of wierd shit, is making it up or saying he did it instead of another chick.....is just in it for the $$.

but the browns...they do something taht...well....really is indisputeable.

The gun was loaded too. Awesome.

even though im a steeler fan hopefully common sense will prevail in this case and he can get some type of deal...he is not the first to do this, i can rember barrry switzer i think did it and got a slap on the wrist.

Yes, charges will either come from FAA or ATF
  • Sage
Never good when the Alphabet boys are involved.

yeah i think this is an honest mistake. now i'm pretty sure that rogers' history suggests he wasn't using it for hunting so the gun was intended for hoodrat shit. but if the gun was registered I'm okay with him getting off light.

and you're right br. as much as I love giving the steelers shit for their debacles, at least they don't get caught with a smoking gun.
  • BR1986FB
Serious...why in the hell is a 600 lb man who could put a mere mortal on a cracker and eat them carrying a loaded gun in the airport?

No such thing as gun registration except for like 3 states. Carrying in an airport is a serious federal offense everywhere. TSA and BATFE don't fuck around ( I meant TSA not FAA in my last post)
  • LJ
In fact, firearms in an airport are such a big deal to the TSA that when you are transporting one, no only does it have to be unloaded in a locked case, but you have to find a TSA officer right away when you enter the airport and declare it.
  • Al Capone
If it's an honest mistake or not, this is a very serious offense. The guy is what 350 lbs and feels the need to carry a loaded gun around especially an airport. Alot of people get on Goodell for being to tough on these thugs, but I say he's not tough enough. Suspend this thug for a whole year and teach these guys that enough is enough!

And before you guys get on me and the Steelers, if I wake up tomorrow and find out that the Steelers have cut both Ben and Holmes, I wouldn't be upset for one second.

Well, I guess it's the Bengals turn now. Who's it going to be?
  • BR1986FB
Drop the fucking hammer on him. I don't care if it was an "honest mistake" or not. Dude took a loaded piece in the friggin airport. He's likely going to get a suspension.

He doesn't really get along that well with Mangini anyhow. I wanted him out of here before, because I think he's a defensive liability, and I want him gone more now.

Ray Lewis hasn't tasted blood in awhile. :D

    This sucks.

I am a lifelong Steeler's fan, but never talk shit about the browns on here. I have a live and let live philosophy about stuff like that. I will say this first of all, it wasn't an honest mistake. Especially not with an individual who travels as much as an NFL player, and I do also ask why he felt the need to have a loaded gun in the first place.

As was mentioned earlier on the Reghi Show it is a sense of entitlement with these professional athletes. They feel they are about the law. Whether it be playing grab ass in the VIP room with some gold digging skanks or trying to carry a loaded weapon onto an airplane. Maybe back in the day you could get away with some of that kind of stuff, but not anymore. There are cameras everywhere, TSA agents, and gossip television news shows who are constantly digging for the next big scandal.

Time for everyone to grow up and act like adults.
