It looks like other companies are raising the prices of their flagships, as well, though not quite to that level. The new Galaxy S8+ is $825.

My pair charges in about an hour, to 100%, if not quicker. They lasted the 9 hour trip to Paris and were still at 40%.

Raleigh to LA (about 4.5 hrs in air) usually takes them down to like 80%

Earbuds? If yes, got a link?

I have a pair I got for Christmas last year that the case for them is actually a charger. Mine usually last between 8-9 hours and then I can get a full charge out of the from the case in a little less than an hour. I can't remember the brand off hand but I have never had an issue with them

I don't do earbuds, but I do like corded over-the-ear phones. I do have a Bluetooth set of on-ear headphones that I can use in a pinch. They last about 10 hours or so, and they're fine, but if I don't want to have to keep track of the time before they crap out, I do the corded ones (which seem to block out more outside noise, anyway).

The iPhone X looks intensely overpriced for what it is. The facial recognition is pretty cool, though it was kind of embarrassing when it failed on the first try during the announcement.

I'm glad they're finally coming out with the A11 processor, too. This is one area where it seems like they're finally making a push to compete with Android-based flagships (though, in the past, they've always countered well with the battery life, which typically has been way better than Android devices).

If they ever got to a point in which they allowed users root access, I might give one a try. That'll never happen, though. It makes the phone less dummy-proof.

At the gym, the cords don't get in the way, but can't hurt to not have them I suppose.
These should be arriving today. I will report back, majority of reviews have been positive.

iOS 11 out. I personally like the "Do not Disturb" function for driving. I hope the people who need it most don't disable it.

My assumption is that those who tend to use their phones while driving will be the ones who do disable it most often.

after a week or so with the new iOS, I fuggin hate the podcast app update. Does anyone use a podcast app besides the Apple one that they like?

Navigation in updated podcast is difficult, no longer has continuous play (I don't want to build a queue). Total shit.

I use Pocket Casts for android and it's great. They have an iOS app as well. It's not free, but it's well worth the $6, IMO.

They also do this thing where if you DL multiple ep of the podcast, only the most recent is readily visibile. You have to go to another screen to view other DLed episodes. On top of that, they also instituted another click to play the episode. Before you could just just click o the episode, now you have to click on the episode, THEN CLICK PLAY. It makes no sense.

Might consider this, but I'll wait for other responses first.

One reason I went with this (other than their UI) is that (for an additional one time fee) you get access to their web version of the app so you can listen to all of your podcasts anywhere you have access to a browser and it syncs with your devices.

Good bang for the buck, sound is nothing more than mediocre. Bass is rather weak, but they get the job done.

They come with a lot of tips, the "comply" foam ones fit me the best. Worked out in them twice, no issues.
