Cincinnati Eateries

I know there was a thread before, but can't find it.

Anyway, I'll be in town Monday - Friday morning for TNF next week. I've been to Cincinnati before, but never really for an extended period. So what are some of the best spots for food that won't break the budget??

And yes...my coworkers are making us go to Skyline for a lunch.

Christ, make sure you have enough bathrooms to accommodate this.

    Skyline is the best.

    Go to LaRosa's with Justin

I think there is only one but Butterbees is solid if you like the TVs bar/food.

I've had enough skyline in my life to last me forever. But, NBC isn't in Cincy often (intentional troll lol) for NFL, so my co-workers have not. I agreed to ONE meal. I don't hate Skyline, but it's pretty far down my list of Coneys.

Big fan of Eli's BBQ and The Eagle.

Thursday lunch should be Midwest Best BBQ. Get the brisket.

Eli's is awesome. Try the hotdogs.

Try to get your co-workers to go to Camp Washington Chili instead of Skyline.

Ramundo's is the best pizza in town.

Definitely noting the pizza lol. I'm always down for BBQ, but being from NC, guys are always wary of trying it anywhere but Texas/Memphis/KC/St. Louis.

Ramundo's is NY style. They use Boar's head meats. Really good stuff.

Midwest Best has great wings but they only serve them on the weekends.

What part of town will you be in? I'm guessing downtown?

Here is a list of some of our favorite places around the city (in no particular order):

    The Eagle
    Revolution Rotisserie
    Eli's BBQ
    Le's Pho
Jeff Ruby's The Precinct (very spendy steakhouse, but so damn good)
    Sotto
Gomez Salsa (it's a walk-up window and the wait can get long at peak hours, get the turtle)
    Goodfellas Pizzeria (NY-style)
    Arthur's
    Zip's Cafe
    Shaan Indian Cuisine
    Krishna Indian

I'm sure I'll add more as I think of them.

Knockback Nat's - best wings in Cincy, get them naked (just their dry rub) and any sauce you want on the side. So good.

I've still not been there for wings yet and I've known about them for years.

I'll add O'Bryon's Irish Pub to my list. They were walking distance from our old house so we went there a lot in the 9 years we lived there. They have great dry-rubbed cajun wings.

My husband and I are staying at 21c Museum Hotel tonight. Where should we go for dinner that's within walking distance?
  • justincredible
Sotto. It's right around the corner.

This. They are featured in the latest Ohio AAA magazine.

    For gourmet hot dogs: Senate

They are both technically closer, and both good. But Sotto is on another level, IMO.

Senate is good stuff. So is the Wurst bar.
