Greatest TV Show of All-Time

It was slow, I'll give you that. And maybe didn't progress like other seasons because the final season is actually split....but, I don't agree - I thought the acting, writing and drama were as good as ever. But much more character focused this year, which I usually don't care for and is rarely done well but I thought they did a great job.Laley23;1865849 wrote:If you had said that before this season, I'd probably agree. But I didn't like this season much. -
justincredibleA show that hasn't been mentioned: I'd probably rank The Twilight Zone somewhere in my top 5.

SpockTo be considered GOAT I would think you need a few ingredients in the recipe:
1. Longevity
2. Memorable characters
3. Cultural movement
4. Real life significance
5. Changed television afterward.
So with those in mind half of these aren't reletive -

And my top 5 reasons (admittedly, biased from working in TV) probably include none of those. Lol.Spock;1865871 wrote:To be considered GOAT I would think you need a few ingredients in the recipe:

This show ended before I was born (72). We lived in the country with the old school antenna. I always loved catching reruns of it as a kid. Usually the early am hours on the weekend. Got to love the old black and white. Good stuff for its day.4cards;1865816 wrote:...favorite TV show when I was a kid was Combat. -
majorsparkDad's antenna was a marvel of country engineering. Steel pipe, pipe clamps, a pipe wrench for turning, and a stake in the ground to hold its direction. Nothing like watching your favorite prime time show and the winter winds kicking up and not wanting to fully suit up for the elements even though your favorite show just turned to pure static. Just need my pair of boots and I can fix this shit before I miss something. DVR.
