Unforgettable individual

  • Belly35
An old friend past away on Monday, WWll combat veteran, writer of two books, caring, giving and a man of great faith.
Soft spoken, listener, great humor and you always felt he know something you didn't. Over his 98 plus year he had few friends or relatives living. He was so active, adventurous and eager to do anything. He would rather hung out with us younger 67 year old guys.
He was not famous, rich but just a nice guy, the type of guy everyone some day should meet.
I will miss Clarence Blasier... Thank you for calling me your friend.

Other than your parents or relative .... Is their someone in your life your just greatfull you had the oppertuity to know?

    Belly-
Clarence was indeed a wonderful guy. He served under Gen. George S. Patton in the infantry including at the Battle of the Bulge. That makes him a hero in my book. His life after the military is also deserving of praise.

Thanks to Belly, I was able to interview Clarence for our 2016 Veteran's Day podcast. If you're interested, you can listen to it here:
