friendfromlowryI think any of the nominated would be fine for mod/admin. I'm skeptical on how much extra discussion or new members can be generated, though. Seems like that's been the goal for years.

ironman02Didn't realize I92 was so beloved. lol
Seriously, though, he would do a great job in an admin or moderator role if he's up for the job. -
cat_loverI92 for at least a mod as well as Sports and lady and BRF.
I92 or any of the existing mods for Admin -
BRFBelly would be a good moderator.
Ironman92 would be a good administrator. -

It's a short leash though. You can ask Justin how quickly you can lose "beloved" status around here. -

I thank you for the vote of confidence, but I already admin at another, very large forum (as well as working on the dev team for the same company). I don't post as much on this site, I don't think, as somebody like Fab does.Belly35;1835830 wrote:centebhsfan ...... First woman mod.... Make the democrats happy
And, everybody likes her, so she's probably a better fit! -

32 people voted in the Miss OC championship. That seems about right.4cards;1835873 wrote:...Justin, how many people actually visit this site on a regular basis? -

She's very active on the serious biz forum, and during baseball season she's also very active on the pro sports forumsleeper;1835853 wrote:I agree but how active is she? -
j_crazyI92, Snot, and Sleeper drive 50% of the conversations that happen on this site. Belly is probably good for another 40% by himself. Any of those would be good mods to help get some discussions going.
Honestly though, and I'm just thinking out loud so don't flip out on me, it might be more cost effective to close this place down and start an r/ohiochatter subreddit. I mean probably 90% of the people who regularly post here are on reddit, it costs nothing to establish a new sub (I'm pretty sure) and you could have 1 or 2 admins and a bunch of auto moderators to do all the policing/rule enforcing. Another upside to going to reddit might be that we could cross post to other subs, and maybe some new folks stumble into the little community we've got going here and the discussions can get a little more life breathed into them.
I'm not shitting on what we're doing here just noting that the bulk of the regular posters here (including myself) don't post in the HS Sports forums with any regularity. Christ, the Boys Basketball forum hasn't had a new post in coming up on a year. I loved what this place was, I still come around and read what is being said a couple times a day and really dig most of what you crazy SOB's are putting on here, but I think there is a way to do what we're doing cheaper. -

This place essentially costs nothing to run and actually brings in a little money.j_crazy;1835979 wrote:I92, Snot, and Sleeper drive 50% of the conversations that happen on this site. bases_loadedWhen I think Internet forum moderator. I think of someone with no social life, lacks any real power in life, wants to be important but isn't...Sleeper checks em all, probably should be admin too. Hail Isadore!

It would be good to just consolidate all the HS sports into one forum (like Serious Business), and people could just post their threads in a place where it is more likely to be seen by the casual poster, and hence, get some interest and discussion.I'm not shitting on what we're doing here just noting that the bulk of the regular posters here (including myself) don't post in the HS Sports forums with any regularity. This is actually a brilliant suggestion. We are not a HS Sports Message Board, never have been. However, this is a smart way to attempt to grow that. -
SnotBubblesDoes OhioBucks post any more? His Sheep League thing was a great draw of traffic. We need posts that draw people in and keep them interacting. That's why the Miss OC contest does so well.
