Best breakfast in your town ...

  • Belly35
I'm a big fan of breakfast and enjoy travel into small town America on bussiness.
I love the small grease spoon places with great food, friendly people and waitress happy to service with that , " anything else I can get you, Honey" attitude.

I stop top yesterday early morning at Rosalie Restaurant in Strausburg, Ohio
my eggs over easy was perfect, the pork grave over hash browns (old school) was to die for and the bacon hot off the grill. $4.95 great value

My hometown is Canton and Johns Bar ..Greek feta cheese omelette is the best and they serve a great breakfast at a great price.

Where do you go for a good breakfast in your town?

In Columbus, our favorite is Dan's Drive-In on S. High St. Actually a sit-down place, not a drive-in. Bit of a 50's car-cruise vibe, with aluminum-trim tables and red naugahyde chairs and booths. Very un-pretensious. Just good basic breakfast choices, also great burgers and sandwiches during lunch and dinner, and some Greek touches on the menu. Always packed on a Saturday morning.

In Cleveland, Southside Sunday brunch was legit in Tremont. Chicken enchiladas with eggs was amazing.
Also little jacks in Warren has the biggest omelets ever.
Not much beats a Bob Evans sunshine skillet though.

Best one I had was in college and directly after, in Lexington, KY.

Ramsey's Diner -- 5 eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, pancakes, and toast. $9.95 (NO SHARING!)

Josie's in Lexington was my favorite brunch place, but the only meal I can remember from the menu was the Spicy Burger, which is still the best burger I've ever had.

Trusty Woods has a breakfast/lunch buffet on Sunday's only. It's a bit pricey-I think $10? But it's pretty good. They also have a chicken and waffles that is excellent off the menu.

$10 pricey? Better watch out or the food snobs will mock you for that statement!?!?!

In pricey breakfast news, I thought the breakfast was free at the Doubletree hotel yesterday morning......until I got the bill for $20! It was pretty good though
