    I wouldn't expect a Honda mower to last 15 years I suppose.

I drove an 88 Accord until 2002 and my daughter's first car was a 98 civic and she drove it until 2013, sold it for $3750 and it is still getting one of her friends back and forth to college 18 years in.

Maybe I am gambling, but it doesn't feel like it.

eh maybe not. I've never kept any vehicle past 10 years. I could have kept them.. just had no desire too.

If he changes the timing chain, it'll last another 100+k, as long as he doesn't drive like a goof.

This is also starting under each window and fender well. It's been paid off for 8 years and it's getting a good paint job for a $1,000.
This is happening to my gf's 2008 Civic on the roof. We've noticed it A LOT lately k other olderish Hondas too. Haven't decided what we are gonna do her car though. Probably will bite the bullet and have it painted at some point.

I have seen a few Honda's like that as well. Mine was made in Japan so maybe it has a better paint job....who knows. I had a Civic prior, sold it with 160K on it and I know it went to at least 250k but then that guy sold it. Ive put some $$ into it but I hate hate hate car payments so this has worked out well for me.

What color is it? My other older Hondas weren't black and didn't do this.

Yeah my dark green, burgundy nor the gold one ever did it. Both paint shop places said the black attracting the sun does it and many of the cars they see like this are typically black.

Yeah, I know the ones I have seen are black/dark colors, but mine is black and it has not done this at all.

I bought my youngest daughter a 1983 Fiero for her first car. We fixed it up, ran great but the paint was bad, we lightly sanded the whole car, prime some areas a little and taped it up. Maaco painted it, turned out good better than I expected ....
