Had John Cazale lived longer, he would have been such a person. The Godfather series, The Deer Hunter, Dog Day Afternoon.

    Katharine Hepburn

The actress one is tough. I'd probably just pick Rachel McAdams because she's hot in Wedding Crashers and Mean Girls.
  • bigdaddy2003
    Leonardo DiCaprio
  • Mulva
I would pick Daniel Day Lewis aside from the fact that id only get to see 1 movie every 4 years. I think De Niro, Denzel, and Leo would be my top 3.
  • O-Trap
Leo DiCaprio, Denzel, or Bruce Willis. Bruce's low-brow stuff lately is something of a guilty pleasure of mine in addition to his better-received action films.

I'd miss out on the Ocean's movies, though. I do love those.

I don't understand the love for De Niro. The guy takes any role he can these days. His career started out wonderfully but has fallen dramatically. I guess on the plus side for those of you who picked him, you would be watching more movies than the rest of us.

Tom Hanks. I like about everything he has been in. Can we throw in reruns of Bosom Buddies too?

Who cares about recently (though some of them are still very good). When you have godfather 2, taxi driver, raging bull, deer hunter etc. He is arguably the greatest living actor, so of course people will pick him.
  • Mulva
Goodfellas, Casino, Cape Fear, Brazil, Jackie Brown, etc
  • Wolves of Babylon
    Samuel L Jackson

Tarantino Films, Marvel Movies, Coming to America, Jurassic Park, Unbreakable, Goodfellas, Star Wars

Snakes on a Plane, Lakeview Terrace, Soul Men, The Cavaeman's Valentine....

Matt Damon for me. As far as broads, I like many, many movies with Meryl, Diane Keaton, Julia Roberts, Sally Field, Sissy Spacek, Julianne Moore, Reese Witherspoon, Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Kathy Bates and Penelope Cruz. I am not sure where I would rank them among dudes, but there are a lot of ladies with great resumes.

I thought Ronin was pretty good, too.

And my favorite of his movies: The Untouchables.

Okay, yeah, he'd have to be considered, too.

Yeah, when I think of these things, I think "Who has a ton of great movies I'd want to watch over and over?", NOT "Uh-oh, I better hope this guy never made any duds to collect a paycheck!!!" And, regardless of Di Nero's current output, his past output stands up against anyone else's.

And let's not pretend that Dirty Grandpa isn't this decades Dumb and Dumber.

You ou also have Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle recently.

Hide and Seek is one of the better suspense/horror flicks in awhile. Plus...MACHETE!!!

Reminded me. He was also in Limitless.

I think this settles it. I'd probably opt for DeNiro with DiCaprio at a close second.

I feel like there has to be serial extras that have been in hundreds of movies that might be the pick, except there's no way of knowing because they aren't credited (same with stunt doubles).

Hard to go wrong with De Niro, but a less "known" supporting or character actor in tons of movies might give you similar quality and more variety.
  • O-Trap
I just spent way too much time on this, and balancing quality (or guilty pleasures) with variety, it'd be either DeNiro or Samuel L. Jackson. Probably Jackson. Dude's just been in so many things.

He's the most credited actor in history, isn't he?

The answer is not even close, but I could have sworn I had heard or read that somewhere.
  • Mulva
I think movies he has appeared in have grossed more than any other actor.

    That sounds realistic.
