I thought about it, but I decided on Country Jam at Buckeye Lake instead. I saw Church there last year and really want to see Chris Stapleton. Church puts on a helluva show.

And the women who dress like sluts.

Looks like it'll be a miserable time, not only because of the horrible music but the weather will be dangerously hot.

    Dangerously hot?
Maybe for the city folk who only see outside when they get their skiny triple mocha latta expresso.

Near 90 degree temps along with 90% humidity and all the yahoo's drinking beer, guarantee a few people get taken out on stretchers with IV's in their arm.

Other than Kacey Musgraves, most of the top of the bill acts seem to be in the pop-with-a-twang beer drinkin', truck drivin', mama done good bullshit genre that passes for country music these days.

Agreed, I like a few of them. Saw Brantley Gilbert and Justin Moore 2 weeks ago and Gilbert was terrible (Moore was great though). Don't like any of Church's new stuff either. Dierks is good and Lynch/ Big & Rich/ and Jansen seem decent enough though.

I have seen Brantley twice in the past year and the first time the venue sound system wasnt very good so it kinda sucked but the last one in April he was awesome. Michael Ray and canaan smith opened for him, Ray was awesome while smith was terrible

Ours was bad sound (it was in CLT) but he also played shorter than Moore (like 6-8 songs?) and they weren't great songs. Not sure what was up, as I usually think his music is decent and my wife likes him but was very disappointing.

That's definitely unusual for him. Hell I think he played for almost 2&1/2 hours both times I saw him. He went through almost 2 full albums and even did 2 acoustic songs as well. Sucks you didn't get the full Brantley show bc he puts on an awesome show

Survived Saturday of CC. It was....a fucking blast! I was surprised that you don't get gouged there with everything. Ticket prices are what they are, but food was just like a fair and drinks.....$2-$3 for a drink and only $2 for ice.......cannot complain one bit. Ya get to bring you own coolers in so ya don't even have to get some there but walking around had to get a couple here and there.

All the acts sounded fantastic. Pope and Musgraves..man they are sexy! Group I was less excited to see, Thousand Horses, actually impressed me with their non-famous songs. I think the guage of a good group is how engaged you can be when they sing songs ya may not know.

Overall.....extremely impressed all the way around and looks like the start of a tradition!
