11.22.63-Hulu Mini-Series-Stephen King Novel

Anyone watch this 8 Episode adaptation of King's Novel?

I hadn't heard about it, wife heard about it and mentioned it sounded like something I would enjoy.

I watched all 8 episodes within the last week and I have to say it was definitely interesting.

Anyone else read the book or watch the series?

I would give it an 8/10.

Quick background-Man is introduced to a portal that will take him back to 1960 and he goes back there to stop the JFK assassination that happens on 11/22/63.

Having always like Sci-Fi and stuff about the JFK conspiracy theory stuff (don't believe any of that, just interesting reads), it was definitely something up my alley.

It moves "slow" at times and has to really pick up that pace in the last 2 episodes, but overall really good.

Forgot to mention some really big names as actors as well as JJ Abrams producing.

I read the book. It was really good (and really long). I want to catch this show, but don't have Hulu.

From what I read online they didn't change much from the book. They added in 1 major character that didn't affect the ending. The ending wasn't changed other than how it was told/shown vs in the book.

The "Yellow Card" guy was slightly different in the movie vs book (who/what he is).

Same here. I was very curious how it went.

That's good to hear. Yeah, the YK guy was an interesting character and had an interesting "job", if that's the right word.

This is one of the few times I saw the movie/show before reading the book. To be honest I didn't know it was a book until about episode 3 of the series when I saw S. King in the opening credits. I will probably read the book now to fill in the gaps.

I understand that some thing's were added in the show, but Sadie's husband is one of the creepiest 'normal' (you know, non-serial killer/monster) guys in a movie I have ever seen.

At least with Harry's dad you knew immediately he was an a-hole.

Watched it all and it was enjoyable but plot holes were everywhere.
