Attn: hikers, outdoorsman, runners, bikers, etc. v. Hydration bladder

  • Automatik
I'm looking for a hydration bladder to go in a small pack. 2 or 3 liter, leaning towards 3.

Camelback or Platypus seem to review the highest overall, but they both have some negatives on Amazon. Cost is about the same.

Platypus has higher reviews, but I'm seeing some complaints of a plastic taste. That's a deal breaker.

Some other brands I'm seeing....GoRuck, High Sierra, Osprey.

    Thoughts? Recommendations?

I've had a camelbak past 4 yrs and I love it.

I currently have this one: http://www.amazon.com/CamelBak-CBHP-10-Camelbak-Blowfish-Hydration/dp/B006ZT3NCC

and it's great for hiking, biking and I use it to carry my laptop to and from work.

Yeah, I'm leaning towards Camebak. 99% of the negative reviews are due to leakage, which I'm assuming is due to user-error when placing the cap.

Do you even bottled water, bro?

  • Automatik
    That's awful.

I have had a camelbak for about 5-6 years and love it. I think I have replaces the mouth guard a couple times but other then that I haven't had any problems. I got one for the wife and I online at Sunny Sports for like 60% off. Mine holds 100 oz and the wife holds 70oz. I recommend going bigger because they are comfortable and lightweight even filled.

I just snagged the 70z (2L). I'll primarily be using it for snowboarding, so lighter the better.

$27 shipped, now I'm broke as fuck. :-/
