D.C. wants to pay criminals not to commit more crime
-
Belly35Politicans walk around with their heads in their ass... To think a criminal will stop being a criminal just because they will be paid is a joke. They will corrupt the system that will be broken from the start, commit crimes because the demands for greed will increase .... Have we learned nothing from public housing programs, you can give someone a place to live but that does not insure they will respect, maintain and care for what has been given. It also doesn't translate into the oppertuity to better themselves .... The reason criminal are criminal is because they make bad choices poor money management, poor education desisions, wrong influences.... What do you think that money will go for ... Drugs, gun, car they can't afford, sex, apartment lease, gambling ...... more debt. Who in the end becomes the victim again? The public tax paying citizen... Robbery by a bad idea

Sigh. Yes, as I stated it is something that sounds great in theory, like in a classroom when you brain storm for ideas on how to lower crime. Theory goes criminals commit crimes as they have no other economic alternative and that by providing funds it may decrease crime. I do not subscribe to the theory at all. This is a bad idea in practice.ernest_t_bass;1779995 wrote:WTF? No, it's not a "solid idea."
But, I will say it is thinking outside the box and that is what I meant by solid idea.
Again, awful, awful idea in practice and I really hope DC does not do it.
Yup, sorry :laugh:like_that;1779996 wrote:Ptown, the apologist. -
ernest_t_bassIt's a fucking awful theory. You don't reward perps for not perpetrating. You reward people who are not fucking perps, if you want to reward anyone at all.

sleeperIn reality this is another attempt to take money from white people since they are the reason that crime exists.
Yadda Yadda, white privilege, yadda yadda. -

No. You know how during brainstorming sessions you aren't supposed to put down any ideas? This is an idea that should be immediately put down in a brainstorming session. It's that bad and fucking stupid. No other way around it. Just stop.ptown_trojans_1;1780076 wrote:Sigh.
