Belly35Lost and found … Gone missing
Losing (stolen?) something is different than items “gone missing”
Here in the Belly Triangle ‘Gone missing” is an every day event.
“Gone missing” is where you or a family member put something away (that place where they will remember where it is safe and easy to find later) only to forget where, someone moved it or better yet the kids used it never mention it.
The hunt is on but the trail runs cold … for days you look with no finding. Then that one day, weeks later eureka there it is once gone missing is now found.
I get a lot of Christmas gifts from the wife in June and July this way.
What items have you Lost and Found?
The ring my wife made for me, losing it in a river then going back one year later to hunt for it and finding it was unbelievable.
Lost (stolen ?) and never Found?
I had this Architectural Cover Sheet Rendering of Ohio State Stadium original plan. Along with other architectural drawings, they where laid out on a table I was reviewing, when to lunch came back rolled up the drawings to bring home. It was not in the group rolled up in the tube when I got home.
What has “Gone Missing” that you know it’s someplace where you put it?
I have a signed Thurman Munson pen and ink rendering. 8.5x11 I know it’s someplace in this house but where I cant find it. -

I lost my wedding ring 2 weeks after getting married. Never found it. So now I have a tattoo "wedding band" on my finger. I never gave to worry about losing it again.Fab4Runner;1777489 wrote:I lost my engagement ring at a wedding in October. Never found it. -

Mine is insured, so we got it replaced. My fiance designed it, so they just remade it.GoChiefs;1777490 wrote:I lost my wedding ring 2 weeks after getting married. Never found it. So now I have a tattoo "wedding band" on my finger. I never gave to worry about losing it again.
Oh yeah...I lost my phone back in August, and after trying for two days to get it back, I gave up. We got a call from Verizon like two weeks ago that someone had tried to activate it in a store. They took it from them, so now I have it back. -
GOONx19I left an iPad in my hotel room in New Orleans when I checked out last month. I knew exactly where it was sitting and went back 30 minutes later to retrieve it. The manager of cleaning services said they did not find anything in the room.

That's what happens when you take it off before you go into the bar.Fab4Runner;1777489 wrote:I lost my engagement ring at a wedding in October. Never found it. -

AppleA couple years ago in California we drove up to San Francisco from Santa Cruz for the day. Was taking photos of the Golden Gate Bridge at sunset and used my cell phone to prop up the camera for a steady long exposure photo. Forgot to put the phone back in my pocket. Didn't even realize it was missing until the next morning my friend that I was with got a phone call from my mom. She said that some guy found my cell phone and he scrolled through my contacts and called "Mom". Drove back up to SF and the guy gave me back the phone. Pretty cool!

Like you have to ask your wife for your courage when she takes and hides it from you.MontyBrunswick;1777481 wrote:what -
BR1986FBWhen I was in kindergarten, we had this clock on the wall that looked like one of those old time phones that you had to crank on the side and hold a hand piece to your ear. At the base of it, there was an area you could put things.
Apparently, one day I was playing around with the clock/phone and found my mom & dad's hidden money stash. Mom got a call from school that I was making it rain $100's to my classmates. They must have forgotten the money was there. -
WallyI have 2 cars. Within a couple weeks one set of keys from each car is missing. We figure they had to be in the house-otherwise-how did we get the cars home without keys??? I guess we'll know if both cars come up missing some day.

ZoltanI lost my phone skiing once, but someone found it and answered when I called it. Got it back.
Lost my wallet once in college and someone turned it into the police. They sent me a letter saying they had it, but by that time I had already replaced my license and credit cards. There wasn't really any cash in it. -
ernest_t_bassLost my cousin in college once, before cell phones. He was visiting me in BG, and it was the first time he'd ever been there. Had to wake up early the next morning and go to grandparent's for Thanksgiving. He hooked up with some chick the night before, and I had no idea how the hell I'd find him. Went driving through town, and I just so happen to be driving down the right side street, to see his fat arse knocking door-to-door, trying to figure out where the hell he was.
