    exercise is probably your best bet. Those who are telling you to just stop worrying don't understand the anxiety ur experiencing

    Something that helped me was walking in the woods and getting back to nature. I went away from it for quite awhile and it really relaxes me to sit in the woods or walking through them. What ever you decide to do make sure it is something you enjoy or it wont work. I have tried going to the gym but I had to deal with to many people and it would put me right back in my funk. Thinking about things were my worst enemy. I have come to accept I will never be normal as far as anxiety goes but I can function now unlike before. Again good luck.

    Different things help people. Exercise can't hurt, or trying different regimens if you already do. Nothing wrong with Belly or Quaker's advice. Some people just need to "man up" and focus on the positive. I think you're beyond that, though.
    Azubuike probably made the most sense - what are you doing when these attacks come on? Need to find the cause and see what can be done.

    I get the most ridiculous anxiety when I go to doctors offices.. any doctors offices.. dentists included. I start thinking irrational things in the waiting room. And as soon as i leave, everything is right in the world again and every thought i just had 10 minutes ago is gone. It's very strange and I have no idea how to combat it.

    Agree on finding the root of it. Whatever you have to do to expose what truly freaks you out is a good thing, then you can attack it head on.

    I find I get most anxious when I know deep down I haven't been giving my best, I've been lazy, and I'm not doing the things I know I should.

    White Coat Syndrome is actually pretty common, to the point that it can be very difficult to correctly diagnose certain diseases in some people because many signs and symptoms present at the office are not present at home, and vice versa.

    I had to have a ton of blood work done in HS because of it. Went in for my sports physical and my BP was really high. Came to be just that, White Coat Syndrome.

    Yoga and the nature walks are good advice. I started meditating to deal with my anxiety. Doesn't have to be anything crazy. Since my anxiety would kick in really bad as soon as I woke up, or right before I went to bed, I'd just find a quiet place to myself at the start and end of my day and spend 10 minutes with my eyes closed just focusing on my breathing. Now I'm up to about half an hour each morning and night. It helps me to clear my head to get ready for the day, and helps me to clear my head at the end of the day so I can actually sleep.

    And Quaker's advice is actually really good. When I had gone to talk to a therapist, she had me start journaling to help with things. Turns out, it was making things worse because I'd be writing for an hour or so thinking that getting my anxious feelings out would help, but all it did was remind me of all the things I was anxious about. It started putting me into a depression, too. So my therapist said to take 15 minutes at the end of each day and just right 3-5 things that I'm happy about. That helped to change my focus from the things that I was anxious and stressed about to the positive things in my life. That was before I started getting into the meditation, though.
