X-mas Vacation v. checked out

AutomatikWho else doesn't give a shit about work right now? This time of year is rather slow in my industry. A few coworkers are already out for the upcoming holiday and I only have about 2.5 hours of actual work to do. This week has been dragging.
I'm off to Puerto Rico on Tuesday with my immediate family. First time ever not being in Ohio with the rest of the fam over Xmas. I'm looking forward to the change of scenery. /brag
When are you taking off for the holiday? -
Fab4RunnerMe, which is unfortunate because it's fucking crazy in here today.
We were originally supposed to be closed all week next week, but I think we will end up working Monday and Tuesday. -
sleeperI'm still busy. However, next week and the week after all the senior executives won't be in the office and I expect it to be dead around here.
-
Laley23I start Monday. But, will have to fly to Minneapolis on Christmas Day. Producer has a heart though, and it's travel only, so we are able to take the 2nd to last flight out (in case of issues, can't get stuck) and work a 14 hr day the 26th. Usually it's fly/work on Fridays and then a 10 hr day Saturday. I'll take the extra few hours with family.

Commander of AwesomeStaying local for christmas this yr. Pretty pumped about it.

OSHHeading back to Ohio/Kentucky tomorrow. We'll be there until we return on January 2.
Looking forward to it. Probably a little to long of a trip for me though, but can't avoid it...brother-in-law gets married on December 31. -
BR1986FBMy last day is 12/23 until I return on January 4th. I will be doing some work from home as I have a few numbers I need to hit for a bonus to kick in. I'm not in vacation mode as much as most of my clients are. Not easy getting ahold of some decision makers this time of year.

like_thatTomorrow is my last day of work until I return on Jan 5th. I need it. It has been a non stop sprint from September up until just a couple days ago. I am going to LA for Xmas since my bros wife is 9 months pregnant, and then I am headed to East Lansing for nye since I am the best man for a wedding that will be held on the 2nd.

Me too (on both counts).Commander of Awesome;1769945 wrote:Staying local for christmas this yr. Pretty pumped about it.
Unfortunately, I'll be working December 24 through New Year's Eve with only Christmas off. -
AutomatikI attempted to "stay local" then my parents guilt tripped me with the tropical vacation. I'm not mad about it. Thanksgiving and Xmas are too close and going home for both if you're not somewhat close gets expensive as fuck.

Exactly. Plus I have a flight back east for a wedding in February where I'll get a chance to see the fam. That's awesome you'll be in PR.Automatik;1769998 wrote:Thanksgiving and Xmas are too close and going home for both if you're not somewhat close gets expensive as fuck. -
sherm03I'm checked out. But not because of the holidays. We've only got about 10 weeks to go until the baby is born and I have so much shit to do to get ready. I'd rather be working to finish stuff around the house instead of doing some of the bullshit for work.
-
sportchamppsHoping to be able to leave the house

iclfan2Only taking 2 days additional off next week in addition to Thursday and Friday. Brother is flying in from Washington with my niece I haven't met yet. Need to roll vacation days into 2016 to go to Europe. Our corp hq have 2 weeks off though so even at work it will be pretty dead.
