Black Mamba the Tortoise (I can't stand Kobe)

  • ernest_t_bass
This may be one of the greatest articles I have ever read. I loathe Kobe Bryant. For those of you that share the same sentiments, enjoy the long read. For those of you who like Kobe, GFY.

It's unfortunate you allow some pro basketball player to upset you so much.

Jesus, Said. You are the absolute worst.

I don't like him personally or his style of isolation basketball. I really stopped watching NBA when the became the norm.

I won't miss him next season.

But seriously, said is the fucking worst and is pathetic.

As for Kobe, I despised him during the Shaq era. I hated everything about those teams. I did not mind Kobe as much his second go around winning titles and same with Shaq.

I don't 'hate' Kobe. Lebron is better. That's all.

I didn't stop watching it but I've cut back a lot. I still follow it. I just have a hard time maintaining interest. The season is too fucking long, the players whine too much. What Golden State is doing is bittersweet because they might turn out to be one of the best teams to ever play, but I think their championship last season was cheap because they were completely healthy and Cleveland was completely not. If they steamroll through the playoffs and onto another championship, then I can stop complaining about it then.

Last Friday ESPN was showing Brooklyn vs New York and I was watching a little bit. After the first quarter Brooklyn was already down like 20. Can you imagine how miserable that is? The season is six weeks old and you're already ten games below .500, getting blown out by another lousy team.

Doesn't that happen in every sport? Some teams are bad. They're going to lose to other bad teams.

I like the NBA because I watch the good teams and their enticing matchups. I stay away from the nets v Knicks kind of games.

I'm not saying the NBA is bad because of it. It was kind of an unrelated point. But could you imagine playing or coaching for a team like Brooklyn who is really bad, and you still have like 60 games left in the season. Theoretically the season isn't over but what's the ceiling? Make a run, sneak into the playoffs, then get dropped by Cleveland or Chicago?

The other problem is that now you're going to get Kobe shoved down your throat the rest of the season. The second game of ESPN's double-header on Friday is LA at the San Antonio. Who the fuck wants to watch the Lakers still?

I'm going to assume Lakers fans.

I typically don't watch the NBA until the playoffs. In my opinion, the NBA isn't as exciting as other sports, as there isn't as much parity. Last year's finals were fantastic, as the "parity" argument won (or lost?) either way.

Even lakers fans aren't watching the lakers this year.

I laugh at all the FWF (re: celebrities) who have jumped ship, and are now "big fans" of the Clippers.
