This one bums me out. Not unexpected as you always knew it would end like this for him, but sad none the less.

Wasn't the biggest STP fan orginally, but came to find them later on as I was really into Velvet Revolver because Slash is my favorite musician. Went back and gave STP another try and totally changed my outlook. Great band.

I remember seeing VR in 2004/5 I think it was and was amazed by Scott as a frontman. The guy was an animal up there live, and not having expected it was a pleasant surprise. Duff had gotten him into rehab during the Contraband era and it was as good as Scott had looked and sounded before failing off the wagon again and burning more bridges.

It's sad so many talented musicians end up this way.

Not surprised, but still bummed. I saw him at RotR last year with the Wildabouts. He seemed out of it, but they kept playing through a steady rain. I saw him with STP in 2008 and Velvet Revolver in 2007*, too.

    Jk, guess it was 2007.

Yeah, I saw that show last year. He did seem out of it, but compared to a version of Vasoline I saw on YouTube from just a few weeks before that, it was a huge improvement. I remember, after watching that, my friends and I watched some of his show last year just out of morbid curiosity.

Sucks, but I can't say I didn't expect to see this headline sooner rather than later.

    First Kurt
    Next Layne
    Now Scott Weiland

Once Chris Cornell and Neil Young die, pretty much everyone left good will be dead.

GnR would have been better with Scott Weiland as the front man.
