If You Won $5,000-$10,000

All about timing. There's no "secret" to it but if you roll into the casino at the right time, you're going to have better success. At least that's been my experience.Automatik;1764554 wrote:Please, share your slot machine secrets. -

No doubt. Worst odds in the casino. Have to know when to pick your shots. If you win and keep playing for a long period of time, trying to parlay that into something bigger, it usually doesn't end well. That's why most of my bigger hits have been when playing house money.queencitybuckeye;1764559 wrote:There's no secret system to slots. The facts and the math are simple. Unless the machines are paying out more than they're taking in, if one continues to play, one will lose. Not opinion, mathematical certainty. -

So you're just the luckiest guy in terms of timing. That's your strategy, got it.BR1986FB;1764560 wrote:All about timing. There's no "secret" to it but if you roll into the casino at the right time, you're going to have better success. At least that's been my experience. -

Like QCB said, there's no real "strategy" to slots. They have the worst odds in the casino. I can only speak from my own personal experience. I'm sure others do well at different times than us but we've been very fortunate.Commander of Awesome;1764567 wrote:So you're just the luckiest guy in terms of timing. That's your strategy, got it. -

All this time and hassle to go to casinos to sit and play slots; attending a Browns game too much hassle.BR1986FB;1764553 wrote:So do I, more than you. I've bought two cars, got a new kitchen & bathroom addition (along with various other home improvement), along with a few other "toys" with my winnings. Unlike some of these morons I see hit $5k and then throw it all back into a machine, thinking they are going to hit the "big one", you take a lump sum check and use it for something constructive. -

I've already explained my stance on that one, numerous times.sleeper;1764605 wrote:All this time and hassle to go to casinos to sit and play slots; attending a Browns game too much hassle. -

Yeah, just get lucky and beat the odds! Yeah we all totally believe you when you say you continue to hit!BR1986FB;1764569 wrote:Like QCB said, there's no real "strategy" to slots. I'm sure you had a great time with Tiernan at the OSU Championship game that you went to with all that Casino money. -

Already posted proof. If we weren't hitting, we wouldn't be going. I've talked to people who have been going for years and have never hit a jackpot. Why go, in that case?Commander of Awesome;1764609 wrote:Yeah, just get lucky and beat the odds! Yeah we all totally believe you when you say you continue to hit!
And why would I go to an OSU game if I won't even go to a Browns game? LOL....pro football > college, to me. -
AutomatikWon't attend a game for their team, discusses them constantly, but will waste hours and hours sitting in front a slot machine.....because you sometimes hit?
This does not compute. -

Yeah I don't know enough about machines but last time I was in Vegas they'd showcase the jackpots trying to show "it can happen!". How do I know that's not what you did?BR1986FB;1764617 wrote:Already posted proof. If we weren't hitting, we wouldn't be going. To the tune of over $200k in three years? We've probably hit over 50 handpay jackpots. We've been VERY fortunate and we're definitely not the norm. I gues if "it can happen", it "can happen" several times.Commander of Awesome;1764619 wrote:Yeah I don't know enough about machines but last time I was in Vegas they'd showcase the jackpots trying to show "it can happen!". Waste hours? If you hit, you cut your losses and get out.Automatik;1764618 wrote:Won't attend a game for their team, discusses them constantly, but will waste hours and hours sitting in front a slot machine.....because you sometimes hit?

Commander of AwesomeThe odds of hitting a jackpot on a slot machine is 3,200,000:1, yet you've somehow managed to hit them AT least 3 time (though you brag to have done it more).
Breaking it down further, in this same thread, you said, "Usually pay down some bills". You live in bums fuck nowhere Ohio, recently sold your camero, and claimed to have earned at least $32k recently playing slots. What Bills could you possibly have? Most Mortgages in your area of Ohio are $300 a month. Shit just don't add up here.
Edit: $200k in nowhere Ohio. Yeah LOL -

You go a lot, correct? If you're not hitting, you're wasting time.
Why not take the winnings and take the fam to a game?
Sorry, I guess I just don't understand the appeal of regular slot machine playing. -

I also said I've paid for two cars, put in a new kitchen & bathroom, along with other home improvements, etc, etc and no, my mortgage isn't anywhere close to $300 a month.Commander of Awesome;1764623 wrote:The odds of hitting a jackpot on a slot machine is 3,200,000:1, yet you've somehow managed to hit them AT least 3 time (though you brag to have done it more).

Commander of AwesomeThis is a jackpot? (BR posted)

AutomatikWhere does it say the payout?

$12,000.... I was only playing one credit. Had I played two it would've been $24,000. Three red 7's are worth $2k for 1 credit, $4k for 2. I hit a triple and a double with the 7 so it was 6x's the pay of the 7.Commander of Awesome;1764628 wrote:This is a jackpot? (BR posted)
Oh yeah, forgot to post my first "bigger" hit....10k

Lovejoy1984So....back on topic.
If I came in to 5-10k, I'd probably knock out, or pre pay some bills, (More than likely would just wipe out the balance on my CC, and cancel it.) -

In fairness to BR, I have a buddy that hits pretty good a couple times a month. Mostly between $1k and $5k, but I have seen a few hits for $10k. But, he lives in the casino's, and I guarantee he loses more than he wins. You can't convince him of that though. Those $100 to $200 daily losses sure as hell add up pretty damn quick.Commander of Awesome;1764623 wrote:The odds of hitting a jackpot on a slot machine is 3,200,000:1, yet you've somehow managed to hit them AT least 3 time (though you brag to have done it more).

I sure as hell wish my mortgage was $300 a month. -
GoChiefsOn topic, I'd spend it on bills. It would pay off the rest of my car loan, so that would free up a good chunk of monthly cash flow to spend on other things.

We usually go once on weekends. If we hit something bigger, we'll take some and go to a different casino. If the casino sends us a lot of free play, we may head out once during the week to play on their dime. Like I said, more times than not, our "bigger" jackpots are hit on house money.GoChiefs;1764640 wrote:In fairness to BR, I have a buddy that hits pretty good a couple times a month. There's a lady up at Erie, who was married, and we noticed her husband probably gained 50-70 lbs in a years time. My girlfriend said "that guy's going to have a heart attack." Sure as shit, we didn't see the guy for months and asked this old guy that we regularly talk to "what happened to her boyfriend/husband (we didn't know)?" The old guy said "he died but she didn't miss a beat and was right back in here a few days later (probably spending his life insurance check). Now that lady is in there ALL the time. It's crazy.... -
sherm03Wife and I are currently debt free (except for the mortgage), but with the baby on the way, I'd probably take an extra 5-10k that I won and put it towards something for the kid.
