Daily Fantasy Sports: Gambling or game of skill?

Where do you side on this issue?

It is definitely gambling. But I love playing it and I am glad it is for the time being still legal.

Other than things like the lottery, aren't all games some of both? I'm better at casino table games than some people, worse than others, but we're all subject to how the cards fall.

It would be interesting to see how someone generally acknowledged as an expert in NFL personnel (Polian, someone like that) would do in daily fantasy.

Gambling should be legal in any event.

It's a skilled game, there is no house you are trying to beat. you are competing directly against other players.

It is both, just like poker. There is skill involved, but there is also an element of chance.

It's gambling. Not that I have anything against gambling, but it's gambling.

Don't care what it is categorized, there is no reason it shouldn't be legal.

All I know is that I'm really happy that, to combat NY trying to disallow them, they're cutting back on their advertising to hire big-time legal consultants. If that means fewer of their fucking commercials, I am ecstatic.

This is my stance as well. If DFS is deemed legal, then so should poker.

It's also gambling in my opinion.

Their commercials are the worst. I've never seen such an aggressive TV blitz in my lifetime.

For me, the lack of variety is the killer. I mean, Wendy's has a lot of shitty commercials, but at least on those, the dumb redhead always is hanging out with different dumb hipster friends making different dumb commentary that always leads back to eating fast food.

It seems like 10x an hour, you'll see that fucking neckbearded douche who looked like he rolled off his buddy's couch, put on his generic Family Dollar hoodie and started yammering about DraftKings. Fuck that guy. That's enough to keep me away from that shit. I don't want to be like him or have any similar interests to him. Although some might say that by employing him for commercials, DraftKings gave some homeless guy a better life, sort of like what happened to that one homeless dude who had the great radio voice. Someone helped him, someone is helping that guy.
