What's "home" to you?

  • queencitybuckeye
When you say "I'm going home", what are you more likely to mean? I'll say I'm going back to my "home town" which to me isn't the same as saying "going home", which is where my family and I live.
  • GoChiefs
I'm the same way. I always refer to Logan as "home" even though I live in Canton.

Home is my house. My parent's house where I grew up is my parents house. I'll never refer to the town I grew up in as home because it's a shithole.

"Home" is the house that I currently live in with my wife. It's the place where we'll bring my son back to.

"Back home" is my hometown that I grew up in.

Until 2 months ago, when we bought a house, home was Toledo (Perrysburg) and my wife would refer to home as Chicago (Naperville).

We have both started calling Raleigh home now that we own property.

I use both depending on context.

Home to me is Tearnan's daughter's trailer park where I spend most of my days.

Bowling Green. Have a house here and parents split up with my Mom and Sister living in Detroit while my dad moved to Woodville so I really have no connection to my old hometown anymore

Home is Bremen Ohio. Though when people ask I usually say Lancaster because nobody would know where Bremen (not New Bremen) is.

Currently home is San Antonio. Will be Fairfield, California in a little over a month.

    I miss Hawaii...

when i'm going to ohio i use "I'm going home." when i leave work, i use "i'm going to the house."

Home is the house we own and live in.

I don't even really have a "back home" anymore, since my parents left my hometown several years ago. When I visit that town, I say I am going to Plymouth.

When I visit my mom and stepdad, I just say I am going to my parents.

Home is where we (wife, kids, and I) live.

Hometown, or "back home," or "where I grew up" is where my mom and dad are.

My wife and I live where we both grew up...home is home anyway I look at it!

In Oakland, about an hour from you it looks like. Heretic Brewing is in Fairfield, and I've been meaning to check it out for some time. If no Browns championship, we can settle for the next best thing, beer. Which we need when discussing, watching, thinking, about the breowns.

Lol true that. I'll have to check out that brewery. I'll hit you up once in town. There's a buckeye bar in San Francisco isn't there?

I was at that game. Flew in from Hawaii. We were at a bat, that I guess was like the varsity club for Cal, and these cal students walked in and one said, "are you guys a fucking army or something"
Had a great time in Berkeley.

Looking forward to seeing a few games there and Stanford if I can.

Damn we should have met then. I was there as well. I had fun tailgating illegally on their seal with 1000 other Buckeye fans and cal police completely unprepared for it.

Stanford sucks, and so do their fans (IMO).
