Fall TV 2015

  • friendfromlowry
Fall premiers started this week. Anyone catch something good? Anything you're looking forward to? I watched Limitless and it actually exceeded my expectations. Looking forward to The Goldbergs and Modern Family Wednesday night. Haven't really researched into it much more yet.

Waiting for Jeremy Clarkson's new show on Amazon.

Blindspot was pretty good - the lead FBI agent is a Brit actor playing an American like he did on Cinemax' Strike Back. His partner on Strike Back stars in The Player premiering tonight. Both these guys are a couple of badasses and both shows should be watchable.

Gotham started back up on Monday. I didn't watch the episode yet, but I'm pretty pumped about it.

I liked it except for his constant resistance to letting her tag along. I hope every episode doesn't involve them arguing whether she gets to get out of the car or not and he just accepts her help.

I watch two shows after they are recorded: SVU and Criminal Minds. SVU starts tonight, Criminal Minds next week (I think).

It was a really good episode. I think this season is set-up to be really great. I like that last season just sort of introduced each of the villains, and this season is focused on them turning more into those villains. The dude playing the Joker is awesome.

Homeland and The Affair on Showtime. Both very good shows.

narcos on netflix is pretty good

Not sure when the new season starts, probably not til 2016, but Peaky Blinders on Netflix is pretty good too.

Agreed. This is my favorite non-comedy show on TV right now.

I couldnt get through the 2nd episode. Does it get much better, or just not for me?

    Monday - Big Bang Theory
Tuesday - The Bastard Excutioner (Which has been ok so far)
Wednesday - Survivor Southpark The Ultimate Fighter and The League

I think that's about it for me.

No one watching the bastard executioner on FX. It's the new show by Lurt Sutter who did Sons of Anarchy

Liked Blindspot. Watched a show called Rosewood on Fox, it was so-so. Waiting for Chicago Fire, Chicago PD, Blacklist, and the spinoff Chicago Med to start. DVR'd The Player, but haven't watched yet.

The Player is a little too far fetched. Don't see it lasting.

They're making a Chicago Med now, too? I guess if they incorporate it into the other Chicago shows it could be okay but there's just so many medical shows.

Yes, it is based around Halsted(sp?)'s brother.

Watched Scorpion and LA NCIS and it occurred to me how far TV has slipped....those shows suck, but their among the better options out there.

The Americans (Jan'16???) is outstanding and one of the most underrated shows out there.
    Blacklist is excellent
    GoT, of course
12 Monkeys (for SciFy geeks) is briiliant
Person of Interest is pretty good, but may have run its course

Outside of that it's slim pickings, although I like Chicago PD.

    *They're

TV is as good as ever. The shows you watched are nowhere near "among the better options available." It sounds like you're just choosing shitty shows. Pull up Emmy results from the last five years and start watching something worthwhile.
