The death of the egg white

  • gut
Eat all the tasty whole eggs you want - the FDA no longer recommends you concern yourself with daily cholesterol intake (turns out the garbage you eat causes your body to produce the vast majority of the unhealthy stuff). The egg white lobbyists must be besides themselves.

To be fair, some people eat egg whites to reduce the amount of fat per serving.

Good point, less calories. I usually do 2 whole eggs with some egg whites in about a 50/50 ratio for additional protein

Whole egg over eazy best cooked in lard or bacon fat..

Hate and never buy: Skin Milk, 2% Milk, unsalted butter, diet pop, light beer, when i smoked (don't smoke now) it was camels or lucky strike moved to winston, what the hell is gluten free shit...

Whole industry created for your health is crazy .... Eat what you want and how you want it just eat in moderation...

I don't really mind skim milk, but the reduced calories/fat vs. 2% are pretty insignificant in a bowl of cereal (unless maybe you drink the leftover in the bowl).

Agree about the whole foods industry in general. People's eagerness to lose weight quickly/easily usually makes them completely gullible to all kinds of BS fad diets and foods (wheatgrass is a good one).

Whole eggs all the way. Go for the protein and let working out dispel any potentially negative elements.

Yeah, eggs really aren't bad for you, like most people try to make it out to be. I eat a ton of eggs per week and I have had no health issues.

So do I. I think lifestyle plays a huge role in how good/bad a lot of this stuff is. If you're physically active and work out a lot, much of this stuff will be assimilated into your body and processed through (and possibly has health benefits, hell, I got an email from the HIIT Max Workouts dude talking about how saturated fats can work for you and they've been a big bugaboo for a long-ass time). If you aren't active and really obese, yeah, you might be shortening your life by not watching your diet, but a healthy and active lifestyle can make a lot of supposedly negative foods turn into pure fuel.

I disagree. It just means you're active enough to burn that garbage, albeit probably a little less efficiently. The above statement would imply all calories are equal, and that just isn't true.

Was just reading an article the other day (don't know how old) about how a lot of people bulking or trying to gain weight think it's a license to eat whatever they want, and they end-up gaining more fat than they needed to.

If you keep track of your macros it really doesn't matter how many eggs you eat as long as you are within your macro goals.

Well, eggs are good for you. But I wouldn't claim it doesn't matter if your carbs come from donuts or corn.

I was talking more about stuff with height benefits that has gotten the "blood pressure/cholesteral" treatment like egg yolks and saturated fats. Not really stuff like sugary shit or pure empty calorie carbs.
