Replaceable thinkers

I've hired (and subsequently HAD to fire...) so many 25 - 35 somethings over the years because of their "entitlement" issues its not even funny. On paper they look good but as soon as they get hired the little whiney bastards are bitching about pay levels, accomodations, benefits or some other piss ant excuse to keep them from doing the job they were hired to do. Sleeper & his ilk are so full of shit, it was the Boomers that established the corporations that gave you opportunities in the first place, hopefully the gen after you cry babies realize what a pain in the ass you all were and come into the workforce with a more productive "can-do" attitude (or) America is fucked. Hopefully I'm dead before it totally self destructs.

I'm not talking welfare, it's such a small % of the population compared to Soc Security recipients I fail to see how it's relevant. I'm talking entitiled dummy boomers who didn't save, take care of themselves counting down the days until they can get on Soc Security and medicaid. The most selfish short sighted generation.

Social security is drawn by all ages, not just elderly. Mentally handicapped, disabled, etc...

Younger people use ebt like a piggy bank.

Why work when you can keep buying ipods AND get hand outs from the government

    Disgusting

Then don't hire them. Hire an old guy who you can exploit and who can barely use a calculator much less run a computer. I'll take the young person 10 out of 10 times.

You'd take the young person because their cheaper to hire not because they're smarter.

If old ppl were smarter they wouldnt be competing with a young person for an entry level job.

You bought your house 25 years ago and paid it off early and you want compare your situation to someone who is 35 at the oldest? Assuming they were 22 when they graduated from college, they would have been paying for their house for 13 years. I can understand why the majority of them haven't paid off their houses yet.

I'm curious why anyone is hostile to people who collect social security. I pay into it and you can be certain that I expect to collect on it as soon as possible. Although I won't be shocked if it's gone by the time I'm old enough to collect. Why would I not want the benefits from a program I paid into?

I don't feel guilty when I turn in a claim to my insurance because I paid for that benefit. It would be asinine for me to pay out of pocket when I already paid for insurance. It doesn't seem much different to me.

The above is solid logic. But the reality is, the entitlement programs were not sufficiently funded by the Boomers and they expect the next generation to pay for their failings.

I can confirm my generation will do everything possible to make sure the only things boomers get is enough money to buy cat food. No person should go without cat food, not even the trash of the Earth.

Poor people love to buy "small" ticket items on payment plans - cell phones, tv's, etc. It's unbelievable. If you don't have $500 or so to pay full price in cash you can't afford the thing.

Such payment plans should almost be considered usory, and often that's exactly what happens when people miss or are late with their payments and get hit with huge interest rates.

It's because today's market is disposable. Nothing is made like it used to be, no sense in attempting long term maintenance on junk.

I'm getting the feeling the old people on here are afraid of being replaced themselves.

Honestly each generation has their good highly motivated educated people as well as people who exploit the system. The problem is the people taking advantage of the system are becoming a higher percentage then the educated group across all generations.

This "old person" has no fears of being "replaced" and certainly not by any dipshit under 40. These lightweights simply don't have the gravitas (look it up young fucks) to lead a nation.

Those aren't the ones replacing you. The ones doing the replacing are smarter and more efficient. I presume, based on how miserable of a person you are and the fact you "retired" from here only to use a different username, that your pathetic self has already been replaced along the way.

I've been promoted three times in the past two years over several boomers. You and your generation are idiots when it comes to tech. Boomers think that if I'm at work 70 hours a week then I'm doing something bullshit. Mean while us millenials get shit done and go home.

I get in and knock it out so I can be on the links by noon having some millennial with an IT degree carrying my bag...preferably one that is black like you Molin.
