Catlyn Jenner wins Espy Arthur Ash award

  • steubbigred
What are your thoughts on Steubenville and it's high school football program?

For the real topic I think it's messed up that they give this media hound some sort of courage award.
Lauren Hill the girl with the inoperable brain tumor I believe was up for this award and much more deserving than one of the Kardashians.

Poor Bruce Jenner All that pain he had to go through after winning the Olympic gold for top male athlete in the world and all those millions of dollars he received for commercials . What a farce .

Can you delete this thread? Anyone who gives a shit about Jenner can go fuck themselves with a cactus.

I don't care. The rumor is ABC was given the exclusive first interview after the transformation in exchange for the Arthur Ashe Courage Award at the ESPYs.

    America, you've been had.

lowered the meaning of Arthur Ashe Courage Award...

    1. Jenner is affiliated with a family where virtually every member seems to have a PhD in manipulating media coverage and living off it, so to claim courage or an inspiration to other trans people seems more to be a marketing ploy than a genuine sentiment. It's not like Jenner would have to ever deal with the bullying/harassment that the average person in an average community ever would have to deal with, whether it be due to being trans or any of the other factors that lead to a person becoming ridiculed. Jenner can just pick and choose appearances to create an illusion that is not reality.

    2. On the other hand, the ESPYs are pure garbage, so giving a fuck about this is not on my list of priorities for this or any other day.

    3. Except for the general hilarity of reading threads like the ones about Jenner on this site, which generally come down to people complaining about how agendas are being forced on people and no one wants to hear about this --- while they're doing the exact same thing the media is (forcing conversation on Jenner), but from another viewpoint. "I'M SO TIRED ABOUT HEARING ABOUT THIS, SO IMMA START A THREAD TO TALK ABOUT IT!!!!!" (aka: the iQQy way of doing things...hell, for a bit I figured he started this thread until I saw the multiple misspelled words in the title).

Glad you're finally embracing the fact that your fucked up corner of the world is a piece of shit.

This....thought that the stories of Green (Tillman award), Leah Still and Lauren Hill were much more deserving of a Courage award than Jenner who choose to do what he/she did.

On the other hand, after listening to the interview, and not completely losing my dinner, I have a lot more understanding of and empathy for his/her plight.

Still not deserving of a courage award, though.

Find it amusing that people get bent out of shape over an award show that doesn't affect them in any way.

You didn't like the award choice? Then don't watch.

There used to be a time in America that you were allowed to disagree with something and provide your point of view. We seemingly have lost this and now resort to "Well, don't watch!; "it doesn't affect you!".

We've really jumped the shark and now operate with logic from the lowest common denominator of society.

Cardale and Urban not winning is fucking bullshit.

The same can be said about people who watch award shows.

Case and point: look who started the thread.

Stieber as well. Mariota had an outstanding year and career, but his resume is not in the same galaxy as Stieber's.

Who won those awards anyway? Not sure there is a better breakthrough athlete or coach than those two.

Figured Steiber wouldn't win, because of name recognition. He definitely deserved it over Mariotta though.
  • Automatik
Definitely deserving, but he didn't have a shot in hell.

No idea who Mo'ne Davis is. And Kerr? Kerr had the only healthy team in the NBA and would have been swept in the NBA finals if Cleveland have someone besides just Lebron.

Does that go for internet forums too? Not liking something means you shouldn't comment?

Dallas Stars Rich Peverley almost dies of cardiac arrest and wants to go back in the hockey game, Jenner cuts off his penis and wins a courage award.

    GFY ESPN.

Jenner didn't even have the balls to cut off his penis.

Look at it this way, a troll on a message board is better left ignored.

The trolling done by ESPN on Wednesday night should also be ignored.

Will Caitlin Jenner be accepting the ISIS women of the year award...
