No comments on HR being MIA?
Thanks for fixing the server. -

I didn't read far enough back, I guess. I just saw the complaints on the site being down.sleeper;1835649 wrote:No comments on HR being MIA?

HighRoller had been sending me messages on facebook when the site was down so I could reboot. This is the first time I've really visited the site in close to a year so I hadn't been paying attention to the activity. If I am looking at the data correctly HR has only posted a handful of times in the last 6 months. Is that correct? -

Pretty much been MIA since shortly after acquiring the site, I think.justincredible;1835654 wrote:I didn't read far enough back, I guess. I just saw the complaints on the site being down.

justincredibleI am open to shaking things up around here if that is what people want. I just ran through the list of moderators and there are a few that are no longer active at all. It looks like Heretic, Laley, OTrap and ptown_trojans are the only mods that post regularly anymore. I have no problem "firing" the rest and adding another one or two mods from the group of regular posters (via a vote). This would include a new day-to-day admin (another vote if there are multiple interested parties).

Laley23The main problem with the Mod(ding) from my standpoint at least was the site was going through major changes. We were asked to enforce certain things, but then asked to scale back to not loss users. At this point, not sure there is ANY moderating going on. I'm fine with doing something, but we need an administrator to tell us the direction the site needs to go.

I agree with this, we lost so many members due to over modding. At this point I think Mods should just help drive discussion, and if any blatant attacking style posting happens remove the posts. I've seen very little posts that fall into this category, and the little I see is in the political forum.Laley23;1835666 wrote:The main problem with the Mod(ding) from my standpoint at least was the site was going through major changes. The site admin should be in charge of the twitter account and try and drive new accounts from there. Any twitter literate ppl on here? Ironman would be a great person for the admin role IMO. -

This seems like a reasonable suggestion. Both the duties of the admin, and the member suggested.Commander of Awesome;1835697 wrote:The site admin should be in charge of the twitter account and try and drive new accounts from there. GOONx19I think I92 is the most important member to the site outside of the politics forum. I would support him in taking on any larger role he wanted.

It looks more like a poster who's very prominent on the site and comes off as reasonably knowledgeable about a lot of stuff (primarily sports) while being more conversational than confrontational being advocated for by other users.Spock;1835730 wrote:Is this place like a HS popularity contest? -

I'd be likely to post more and help again if we throw a rudder back on the ship and develop some sort of direction, but you aren't going to hurt my feelings one bit if you replace me either.justincredible;1835657 wrote:I am open to shaking things up around here if that is what people want. Me being a lifelong fan of a championship city would allow me to direct this site in a way that takes us back to the topHeretic;1835739 wrote:Is the cover letter simply going to be the word "Detroit" typed 150 times?
