Thoughts on ESPN's new layout?
-
Scarlet_BuckeyeLooks like someone ripped off Pinterest.
So far, there appears to be quite a few bugs, but I suppose you'll have that with new things. You would just think that something as large as ESPN would thoroughly vet & test any new changes. -
Laley231000x better.
Couldnt stand navigating the old one. -
rydawg5Enjoy, tomorrow there will be infolinks.

Pick6reminds me of a blog.

Ironman92Not familiar with Pinterest but I think it sucks on my phone. I don't want their stories shoved in my face....I want scores. Took a bit to find NBA scores.

Agreed. It feels like Bleacher Report to me. I am not enamored of it but the old site was not particularly user-friendly. Finding what you wanted was often like navigating a fucking maze. The layout felt cluttered in areas.Pick6;1718113 wrote:reminds me of a blog. -

My favorites on the side and all the scores being available in 1 bar at the top immediately make it an upgrade.reclegend22;1718141 wrote:Agreed. It feels like Bleacher Report to me. I dont use ESPN for anything but that anyway, so I am probably biased. Any article/story/whatever ELSE they provide on the website, I get via Twitter... -

That's where we differ, I guess. I use Twitter very infrequently, so when I want to read a sports article I generally do so using traditional sites like ESPN. The new format, at least with regard to the articles, is bothersome to read due to the blog-like feel that Pick6 spoke of above. All of the content seems to blend together, making it difficult to look at. I don't know, maybe it's the all white background that is throwing me off, as ESPN use to use more color in its scheme.Laley23;1718142 wrote:My favorites on the side and all the scores being available in 1 bar at the top immediately make it an upgrade.

The new scoreboard at the top is a nice upgrade, though. I agree. -

I cannot believe CNN bought that pile of crap and ditched SI. And Chrome hates that new CNNSI, but maybe they fixed it.reclegend22;1718141 wrote:Agreed. It feels like Bleacher Report to me. -

This. They can have all of the bells & whistles in the world but as long as they keep putting out that crap journalism, same old, same old. What's that saying about "lipstick on a pig?"like_that;1718126 wrote:New layout, but same shitty journalism. -
