I'd say the obvious answer is chicken. But I could really go for some deep fried mini corn dogs, oreos, pickles, or some mushrooms right now. -

Sorry to break it to you...it's rather shitty, but if you are down for fried food you can go nuts.Ytowngirlinfla;1716442 wrote:Going to the Ohio State fair this year. First time ever. Hoping it's more fair like then the ones out in Cali.

Ohio state fair is a waste, unless there is some musical act that is playing that you want to see. Best off going to a good county fair. Allen County, NW ohio, has a pretty good one. -
SonofanumpI rarely eat fried foods, has to be exceptional. The fried chicken has to be great, Monticello has great chicken. I'll indulge in Fricker's veggie basket, PF Changes or Thirsty Pony fried green beans.

HereticI might be biased, but when I fry fish, that's #1.
Other people frying fish is #2.
Chicken be third on the "legacy rule". -
lhslep134Back when I ate fried foods I loved Calimari and deep-fried oreos. Gave up fried foods when I lost weight and psychologically I'm not enticed by them in the slightest now. Kinda sucks bc I know how much I'm missing out.

Love me some fried fish as well but not the way most places do it. Much rather have them breaded in a corn meal mix than the traditional batter.Heretic;1716475 wrote:I might be biased, but when I fry fish, that's #1.

I'm not really a batter person, either. I love the boxes of McCormick's cajun mix. Don't even need stuff like an egg or milk or whatever. Just get a layer of that on the fish and fry it. It's juicy, tastes great, has a kick and you're not getting bogged down by batter.thavoice;1716479 wrote:Love me some fried fish as well but not the way most places do it. Many places the batter just tastes the same, but the corn meal/flour mix, or even mix in some of the cajun stuff, much better than most resturants.Heretic;1716482 wrote:I'm not really a batter person, either.
