Snow Removal

  • sportchampps
Does anyone here pay to have theirs done or just do it themselves. I went out and did my moms this morning. When I got home I couldn't even imagine going back out so I just hired an older guy from the neighborhood to do it. I remember making money as a kid this way but none of the kids in our neighborhood ever come around.

I bought a truck with a plow this winter. People charge too much for snow removal. My wife owns a coffee shop and sometimes they don't get there until later in the morning. This way it gets plowed before she opens. My wife loves it when I plow her lot.

I drive a Jeep so only my sidewalks get shoveled.

Shoved 6 inches of snow at 7:30 this morning and have been going back out scraping every few hours. My son does the neighbor guy's and we both went and shoveled out the neighbor girl across the street. It was fine early but it's heavy now.

So no...never pay and now my son is trained I can take it easier.

be a man and do your own snow

I do not pay. I have a snow blower and it works great.

A few weeks ago, the snow plow driver at work fell asleep and plowed a few cars. LOL

Seriously shocked that doesn't happen more often. They put in crazy hours this time of year.

Wife and I did the most half-ass shovel job earlier. Cleared out the sidewalk and a little of the driveway, put some salt down, called it a day. Who GAF anymore.

30 yards of driveway leading to a 4 car garage entrance is a lot to shovel so this is how I roll:

I pay $40.00 to do my driveway, double wide drive 75 feet to the street, additional single wide circle 180 feet
i bought a snow blower this year and do it myself and love doing it.

Bought this a month ago. Neighbors and family love me. The blade is the width of the sidewalk in town. Then I load it up and take care of the parents, siblings, and around the shop where the plow guy misses. Then take the blade off. Attack a couple inner tubes and tear around the farm.

. I bought a new Deere tractor last summer along with a snowblower, I love one of those but no place to store it now. I'm thinking about getting a 12x16 shed down by my garden.

This might be your worst attempt at trying to be funny.

I'm getting an 8x12 to store it so I don't have to move it every time I want to use my car. I've priced a handful of places and Alpine Structures in Dundee is the best priced for quality.

I'll admit it's not my usual Top 10 gut buster but far cry from my worst...A Johnny Manzier Christmas was pretty bad.

We use this with a hydraulic plow. Amazing the amount of snow it moves.

I did mine on saturday...then the neighbor's next door as the lady is nice. Then I did the neighbors across the road and a few other house. Basically was just trying to run the gas out of the snowblower as it may be the last one of the season...hopefully...
