Work Boots

I have had a pair of red wings for awhile. Looking to buy a new pair. Only thing I do not like about them are they are heavy over time. Any suggestions on a good pair? I have in the past tried rockies and wolverines. Both were alright but did not last as long as the red wings. Thanks in advance for all suggestions.

Red Wings work best for me. I tried a pair of Wolverines but the inside lining wore out in just a few months and I have never had that happen with Red Wings.

Red Wing Irish Setter have been the best pair I've ever owned after buying Timberline Pros before

It's not that the boots become heavy over time as your feet/legs become tired. Do you have any pronation issues?

Rockys have always been my choice

Rockys were the best around when they were made in Nelsonville, not anymore.

Never really looked into it. I do tend to walk on the outter edge of my feet more then I should but do it subconsciously most of the time. When I notice i am doing it I will correct it. When I am working I just dont pay attention due to being busy. So you are probably right that is the reason they feel heavy over time.

I am looking at a few of the boots suggested. I will probably go back to red wings but would like to look at other options.

I've owned Red Wings, Wolverines, Georgia, and others. Rocky Boots have been the best and still are my go-to. Best comfort and reliability.

I do have a pair of rockies for hunting and have had them for 10 years but that is all I use them for. They are comfy and still water proof. I bought a pair of work boots and they only lasted five months and were not very comfortable.

I've been in the concrete industry for 22+ years specializing in slabs, tie beams, and elevated concrete decks. I have worn many boots in my time including Rockies, Red Wing, Georgia, Wolverine, etc. Over the years two brands, both USA made, have been the best for me as far as longevity and comfort. Those would be Thorogood and Justin Boots.

I know this will get bashed but I have a pair of Dr Martens that are just fantastic and don't wear out. I had a pair of RedWings that I wore out in no time. Ive had these Docs for 8 years thru driving truck, delivering bottled water and they are still going.

    Now that's funny.

I always went with cheap Brahmas from Wal-Mart. It's a work boot, I expect it to get beat to crap and thrown away. I'll spend less on it and just go from there. Never had any issues with them.
