Melt or B Spot

  • se-alum
Going to be in Columbus this Saturday for my nephew's basketball tournament and to see my cousin's band at Tequila Cowboy. I've always wanted to try both of them, and since the tourney is in Reynoldsburg and TC is at Polaris, both of the restaurants are nearby. Which one is better, Melt or B Spot?

Never been to the B spot but I would recommend melt

I've only been to Melt, in the Short North, and it was good.

    Melt. B Spot is overrated.

Was not a fan of Melt at all. Never had b spot so I'd go with bspot

I think B Spot is pretty dam good, but I'd take The Melt 7 times out of 10. Lockview and Bar145 are comparable to both.

Melt is alright but overrated. Never had B spot somehow.

Melt I was disappointed with the BSpot in Gahanna.

if your in Reynoldsburg and want good food visit Pies or Prost. Prost is new and has the best beer selection in the area. Both of them could easily be in the Short North and blow anything else in Reynoldsburg away.

Never been to Bspot but Melt is extremely overrated.

    Isn't B-spot a Michael Simon venture?

    Yes.

I've never had a bad experience at Melt. I really only go to the original in Lakewood, though. Wouldn't surprise me if it's a little better than the others.

I've never had a bad experience at either. I really enjoyed the food at both.

Less of a wait at B Spot when I've went -- off hours. Their milkshakes are delicious (outside of the typical food one would get). Melt has delicious pirogis.

B Spot is overrated. They have good shakes but the burgers are nothing special.

    I Voted.

Kind of hard to compare a burger joint to a grill cheese joint.

That being said...I have been to the B-spot in Strongsville and it was very good. Haven't been to Melt, but my buddy said it was very good as well.

I'd go with B-spot. I just feel like garbage after eating at melt.

One thing you might want to keep in mind, this Saturday is valentine's day. Everything will probably be packed. (I've never heard of either of these restaurants but I don't get out much anymore)
  • sportchampps
Those 2 are not really valentine type places so the waits shouldn't be much worse the normal but they both can be busy on weekends anyways.

I thought about that today, but figured those 2 were safe from the Valentine's onslaught, plus it will be in the middle of the day. The best part will be being drunk at Tequila Cowboy on Valentine's night where there is sure to be some drunk, lonely ladies...lol!

There couldn't have been 10 people out last night in that fridge.

Both are pretty good, but for sure Melt.

So which one did you choose?

I didn't make it to either, my cousin was going to go with me, but they made him do sound check during the time frame I had to go, plus the weather was pretty shitty.
