This question is for everyone but Belly.

What TVs have you owned and how would you rate them?

Couldn't tell you all that we've owned but our current living room tv is a Panasonic plasma and it's fantastic. Sucks that plasma seems to be a dying tech for tv.

42" LG LED TV. Have had it almost 5 years and I still love it.

I have had an LG for about 4 years now and love it. Have 2 identical JVC's, and they work fine as well. LED's.

Parents have an LG LCD TV now (47"?) and before that they had a Toshiba tube TV that lasted fucking forever.

We have 2 LGs at home, 42" and 32", never a problem

    I'd recommend either brand

How is the Curved? Is it worth the money?

55" LG led. No complaints, great picture. I liked the LG over the Samsung.

I have a Sony Bravia Z series LCD. I think I bought it in 2008? Still going strong.

If I could buy again, I would either go Sony or Samsung.

I'm happy with it. It really only comes into play when I have enough people over for the viewing angle to be a factor. $ was comparable (and I think slightly less) than a non-curved 4k would have been, although 4k prices have probably dropped significantly even in the 6 months since my purchase due to 2nd year models coming out.

I have always only bought Sony TVs and have not had any issues with them. I actually bought my dad one a couple years ago (his first HD TV) and he loves it as well.

50" Samsung Plasma 8 years old
32" Samsung LCD 2 years old
65" Samsung LED 2 months old
    Love them all

We have a 60" 3d Smart led Vizio. I like it but it's not as good as Samsung or Sony.

i have a 40" lcd Sony. This is my favorite tv. It has awesome color and I can tell the difference when gaming between the vizio and Sony and the Sony actually decreases lag a little bit.

i also have a Samsung 32" lcd great TV but I prefer the Sony.

I would rank them Sony Samsung Vizio.

    Why didn't you go 4K?

Lack of 4k content + I don't sit close enough to my screen/have a big enough (70+ inch) screen for there to be an appreciable visual difference. Not worth the extra $$$.

Makes sense, but there will be enough sports content in 4k soon enough IMO.
