The next Comedy Central roast is...

  • GoPens
Dear God...Justin Bieber. Definitely has potential. I pray Lisa Lampanelli is on this one.

    are they even trying anymore?

This should be fucking awesome. Beiber will be terrible when he gets his chance, but the others will absolutely destroy him.

Lame. Especially him basically begging to be roasted. Used to be you had to have accomplishments before you were roasted, as it is a sign of respect.

    This.

I will just watch Jeffrey Ross' bit as I've done for the last few. He kills it every time.

Why? Are there any more jokes she can make about fucking black guys? Pretty sure the well is dry there.

Youre gonna be a stickler on roast protocol? Its a bunch of b list comedians telling each other to fuck themselves. Not the most serious of business.

B list? I think you're giving too much credit to some of the people that do these roasts...

I shot that one from the hip. Did not thoroughly research how many lists there are before posting.

That's what they are now, not what they used to be. Even at that, the people on the Comedy Central roasts' have at least had lifelong careers.

Yeah, I think this is the only gig some of those guys have anymore.

But I always thought roasts were generally by people you've spent a career with as friends and colleagues.

I'd bet this is the first time most of these roasters will have ever met Beiber.

THey wont be roasting him...they will actual mean everything they say

Good point. This has potential to be epic (probably why CC decided to do it for Bieber).

Which is why I posted this...

I will watch just to watch these guys lay into him.

They usually suck when she's not on.

The roast of Bog Saget remains my favorite. Even Bob Saget, one of the most vile comedians there is, seemed shocked by some of what he heard.

Anthony Jeselnik would be a perfect addition for this particular roast, as he would definitely mean every last dark word.

I believe the actual Friars Club ones are still like this (and that's what Comedy Central aired to start out), when they decided to start their own "roasts" it started out still true to form (like The Saget one) now it's devolved into the same 6 shitty comedians roasting whoever was popular in pop culture the past few years
