Birthday/retirement party ideas
-
friendfromlowryMy dad's 65th birthday is in a couple months and he's also just recently retired. We want to throw a more extensive party for him this year, perhaps a weekend trip. We did Hocking Hills a couple years ago and that's our back-up plan for now, but we're still looking for other ideas of places to head in Ohio for a weekend. Unfortunately, the weather in March usually blows so we're a bit limited. Any suggestions from the crowd?

Dangerous because of possible ice/snow? The football HOF isn't a bad idea. But I may pass on having him meet you...Belly35;1697265 wrote:Hocking Hill in March can be dangerous in areas... Been there done that

We will be splitting the costs, yes. I thought the board told you to stop using that word.Belly35;1697301 wrote:Are your other family members going halfsies on the cost? -

TiernanAs I've explained to you and countless others Lowry...it took a few courageous guys like myself who don't just goose step to the tune of the OSU Propaganda Bandwagon to openly question Urban's record and strategies on message boards and sports radio for most of the Fall. Then right around MSU time he finally started to actually listen and realized True Buckeye Fans (which most of you are not) have much higher expectations and will not just accept mediocre results because you are blinded by the flash & sparkle of coaching celebrity. If someone were to ask Urban I'm sure he would admit that "Yes I heard the few disgruntled voices out there that actually know something about football, and I knew immediately I needed to step up my game...my hat goes off to those like Tiernan with the guts to openly question and seek better results."
That is probably almost an exact quote I'm sure he's mentioned privately numerous times. -

I hope you didn't spend much time typing out all that mumbo jumbo I didn't read. You've provided some valuable ideas Belly. We're looking into the football HOF/Canton, but will most likely still be Hocking Hills despite it's not ideal that time of year. We went at the end of November a few years ago.Belly35;1697851 wrote:Tierman and FFL take it to the other forum ... bro
