THIS! NEVER before Thanskgiving. The tree goes up no sooner than two weeks before Christmas, and stays up till 3 Kings. I try to shut out all the commercialism so that the holiday spirit is not burned out till the holiday comes itself.

Iknow people who already have their tree out, and it comes down the day after Christmas. SMH.

Friends of mine put their tree up 2 weeks ago.

We will put ours up the weekend after Turkey Day, depending on our travels. Usually leave it up til right after New Years.

Several people have but like others not til after thanksgiving then down the day after

My tree is up, but not decorated yet. It came with our house, so I wanted to make sure all the pieces were here. If not, I would have bought a new one.

I don't see the harm in putting things up before Thanksgiving, especially since it's pretty late this year. I don't want to put decorations up and then take them down a couple weeks later. But I also like to leave my tree up until my birthday (January 21st), lol.

Whatever belly does is the right way guys. Don't go against belly tradition or he will go on a grammar sensitive tirade about how he's better than everyone blah blah

Why are you confused? Thanksgiving is as early as the 22nd some years. It's late this year. It doesn't leave much time to enjoy my decorations if I wait to put them up until after Thanksgiving.

Put up decorations inside and outside the first week of December and take them down on January 1st.

    Never before Thanksgiving.

Tree usually goes up 10 days - 2 weeks before Christmas.

I'm in the "never before Thanksgiving" camp as well.

Up the weekend AFTER Thanksgiving (c'mon..turkey day is an observance in and of itself).

Then they come down no later than the day after New Years Day but generally before because that time is devoted to bowl games!

I think this issue is based on the amount of Christmas Decoration one puts up, one tree and a few lights are easy a few days after Thanksgiving but anything after that becomes a bigger undertaking and requires more time. I sure the hell not putting up lights and wrath in the freezing cold been there done that... learned my lesson
We've had the Fall Season Decoration up for sometime now and slowly removing them and replacing with Christmas.
The Thanksgiving table will be all about Thanksgiving (king crab legs) next day Traditional Turkey dinner.
The three trees will be up, the Muffy Tree is be decortaed by my wife and youngest daugter when she get home from LA, the Family room tree will be decorated by the grandkids and my other daughters as the guys watch football and the Formal Living Room tree is all ready up and decorated by my wife and I. The Christmas wrath are up and the pumkins are gone, Still have a few other items that goes up outside (apple fan) and spot lights but will have to wait for a break in the weather now

I was going to try and get ahead of the game on my outside lights this week, (but not turn them on until after Thanksgiving of course) but then the fucking North Pole arrived, so no.
